Hello,
I have windows application with tabpages and datagrids.
When i resize the windows size (to full screen) the window resizes but the tabpages and datagrids no.
How can i do that all of them will be resized according the original window size?

you could look into the Anchor property of the controls. That might do what you want but depending on the layout of your controls you might have to do with code called on the forms resize event.

When I run two instances of notepad, while task manager is running, I see that the number of processes increases with each instance of notepad or any exe. It means they are running in their own process and appdomain respectively. How can I make two programs run on different appdomains but the same process.

You cant. Two programs can not run on one process else it would be the same program, no?

I still have to come to grip with appdomains. So could you tell me, under what circumstances would we want to have two appdomains in the same process.

Hi,
you can dynamically load DLL files into the current or a new app domain, but you can't unload DLL files; you can however unload an app domain. So for add-on software (especially if you don't fully trust it) loading it in another app domain makes a lot of sense.

Here's a real-world example: Unit testing software, such as NUnit, will load your unit test assemblies into a separate AppDomain for safety and security reasons.
Using additional AppDomains is also the only way to unload an assembly from a .NET process. Say you have an app that uses plugins. In the unmanaged world you can just use LoadLibrary and FreeLibrary calls to load and unload a plugin dll. In .NET you would have to load the plugin dll into a separate AppDomain, then get rid of that AppDomain to unload the plugin.

You can load managed executable in memory and run it. You will have one process but when you exit it, the loaded executable will exit too.

What has that got to do with anything? use MSPaint... or, in a programming related manner, create your own drawing application... should be easy with your great understanding of programming

I can connect to the default instance of SQL using SQL MGMT Studio by providing the FQDN. The problem is I can not connect to the named instance. The problem is I can not find the syntax for providing FQDN for a named instance.
I am only using Mgmt studio to test because I am writing an app but the connection fails. I tried using IP Address and port number, fqdn and port number but no luck. I also tried by giving the instance name an alias and still no luck. I am using sql authentication.
I can access everything fine if I am on the network but outside the network is where the issues arise.
Any help would be appreciated! Googling did not help, neither did MSDN.

ConnectionStrings.com[^] has the answer. The Server part of the connection string should be something like:
Server=ServerName\InstanceName
or
Server=IpAddress\InstanceName
