Dou you have installed required framework for IIS ? Did you register it with ASP.NET using aspnet_regiis?

Need help regarding Trust Level Error

Hi,

i am working on embedding rss feeds in my site
it has worked fine in my local server
but when i have uploaded that one in web
it shows the following error

I dint embed the trust level tag in web.config. ( You can see the commented one )

my service provider provides medium trust level.

when i have applied trust level as medium in my web.config

it shows an error like

location allowoverride="false"

then i have changed the allowoverride to true. But its not working.

Can you please help me out in this regard

Shared hosting servers will not allow you to change trust level higher than "Medium", you can replicate the same error on local machine by adding

<trust level="Medium" originUrl=""/> in web.config.

If you are already familiar with the IIS console (Start button, Administrative tools, Internet Information Services Manager (also exists as a snap-in to a stand alone MMC)), the ASP .Net 2.0 part is easy. Right click on your web site in the IIS management console and select properties. There will be an ASP.Net tab in the properties window. Click on the tab and the ASP.Net version selection is the first drop down list.

As far as running the project, I don't quite understand your question. Just visit the web page you built as part of the project to run it. If you are doing it from the local server, simple use http://localhost/etc..

Visual studio problem

Hi

I have a nasty problem with my visual studio. I cannot enter Debug mode when click Start Debugging button its opening the web page of my solution but the solution is not in the Debug mode, I still see Start Debugging button instead of Stop and it never hits the breakpoints as it's not in debug mode.

I do the iisreset several times and remove the temporary asp.net files and iisreset and clean the solution and close and do the same thing, no change it's always the same case.

Can any one please tell me if any of you have the same problem.

So, your site is hosted in IIS and you want to debug it from Visual Studio ?
If yes,
Did you Attach the worker Process ? Which IIS Version are you using ?

I am using IIS 5.1 but My site doesn'z host on IIS Server. I just did iisreset if the visual studio catches something. It was working fine since 5 days I am having this problem.

Hi,
If you are not using IIS then there is no sense that IISRESET will work for you.

Are you a debugger user? Is debugging enabled for the current user?
Have you set compilation debug = true for the current project?

I am using Mozilla Firefox2.0 in my local system.

I am not receiving any error.Calculations are not taking place
in gridview footer.While this script runs fine with other browsers.

Hi,
i am starter in aps.net , and i've created a webproject in asp.net2.0 and SqlServer2000 in Windows 2003 server.My doubt is ,
The images are in the folder named "img" and when i added the image to the Webpage
the is like this "../img/he.jpeg" .When i upload this site will the images with this path be displayed or not?

No the images will not displayed. If you have the same directory structure in the web server you can use Server.MapPath("/img") + "filename".

Good day

On RowDataBound event i have hidden the Field called ID that will appear after the Check Box like this

Now its time to Delete the Selected Records from a Gridview and i have the Following code on the Delete Button

I know you will complain about Arraylist, lets look at the Solution, i will change later.
Now what am doing here is: I add the Value of the second Field and the third to Different Arraylist and using for loop and calling a method that will call a Sp that will Delete the record based on those two Fields. Now my Problem is that the Field

List.Add(GridView1.Columns[1]);

has been set to false in the Visible Property as you have seen above. And am getting index out of bounds errors. How can i get the value on that hidden Field.

You can access the text property for the cell even if it is invisible. I'm not sure why you are grabbing the column object from the grid and expecting to get a value from that. I'm also not sure why you are adding to the List in a foreach and then looping through the entire list every foreach iteration?

I think you might want to try something this instead:

foreach (GridViewRow row in GridView1.Rows)
          {
              CheckBox chkbx = (CheckBox)row.FindControl("myCheckBox");
              // only add non empty staff names
              if (chkbx != null && chkbx.Checked)
              {
                      int Staff_ID  = obj.Get_User_Id(Convert.ToString(row.Cells[2].Text),Convert.ToString(Session["ActiveDatabase"]));

                      obj.Responsibility_Caretaker_Remove(Convert.ToInt32(row.Cells[1].Text), Staff_ID,Convert.ToString(Session["ActiveDatabase"]));
