Hi,
I have a folder in my solution named "DAL" inside this folder I have a DataSet called dsTSQ.
How can I use this DataSet on my Default.aspx page? Meaning that I want to save something to SQL...

I have only the one solution. I have created an Interface with a class and a DataSet inside this solution but when I go to page_load and type "this." then nothing appears, it's as though the access modifier is set to private but in this case won't make any difference as I am only using the one solution so everything should be accessable.
I have created a DataSet inside the root of my solution and have tried to access it but I cannot access it either!
When I use a Windows Forms Solution everything works fine.
Any suggestions?

You are confusing folder with your application structure. Folders are nothing but logical grouping of files. Period. They have nothing to do with your project settings.
If the DataSet code is in the same namespace as your Default.aspx page then you can use it, if not make sure your use the right namespace.

I am able to display the values using properties...

i have to display data of jan,feb,mar.....etc..
so in this ..jan will be having count of the rows of a table
similarly i have to display for each month... now its 31 march so on 1 st april i want to add automatically add a table with similar look and feel like mar to display the data of april.
can somebody help me here ..

Look at the GUID[^] structure or Random[^] class. Hard to tell more without knowing what you are trying to do.

There are several methods. If it is trivial value, just pass it through query string. Other methods include, session, cross page postback etc.
Your post says you have no idea about ASP.NET. Please take a good book work with the examples.

Why are your controls called textbox1, etc ? Looking for unreadable code ?
In ASP.NET you pass values between controls on the same page, or via the query string. I think you need an ASP.NET book.

Ive having problems with my copy web site tool in VS2008 (It uploads the file(s), but sometimes i get this error and takes more time than it should)
Ive tried with passive mode checked and uncheked, I had never had this error in VS2005,if i use VS2005, this error doesnt show up
This is the error:

hi.
im wondering how to implement a website im building.
in short at has a login screen which a user can login and see a page with left div with information of some sort, middle div that holds couple of tabs, each tab should fill the div with a table of that tab(customers for example). the user will be able to add a client to the table, delete and edit. the other tabs should do the same, that is show table with edit,delete and insert.
in my current implementation i use a user control for each tab.
the user control have the table in it and the delete,insert,edit buttons in it.
when the user delete a record for instance , id like to call a method in the user control that deletes this record and sends back 1 or 0 uppon success or failure.
than using JS in the client i will remove that row in the table. likewise in the other buttons for insert and edit.
the problem now is that i cant call to a method in the user control directly from JS because of .net limitations.
any suggetions to overcome the problem or to use a different implementation?

How about using WebService to perform Add/Delete operations? You can use js to call webservices.

i thought about doing that. but im not quite sure if this is the best implementation. isnt using webservice can cause an overhead? is it conventional to use webservice for that reasons?

hi evryone ............ i downloaded a web application and online community and when i host a website in localhost there is BLAZE APPS versioning to it ........... I WANT TO REMOVE IT ...........THE DESIGN PART OT PROJ DOESNT SHOW THESE pls hlp ........... the appl runs in vb.net2005 and db is optional for mysql and mssql .............. urgent
i can understand that my query intially looks lik to steal someones credits but cant help it
the design view doesnt show the contents
help me to view it atleast
n i heard the designing might have been done in html so that only it appears while running it only is it true??

you cant help it? [note: using your words] Are you saying your can not help it, but steal some ones code? What is wrong if you show their logo? After all they not you, have wrote the code. How do you plan to give them credit.

There is one thing I can help you. If it is a free code, download it, then use it to learn something. Then wrote your own application based on what you have learnt from scratch. That way you got to learn something and you end up writing your own code. How is that for starters?
Otherwise, if you want to use their code you need
1. Understand their licencing scheme
2. Give credit where credit is due
if you can not do any of those, then step back and leave the space for someone else.
