Is it possible to bind two data source into single grid view? I m doing the shopping cart. in my shopping cart gridview, i already call Cart and Food table together in 1 sqldatasource.. Now i need to call another table that are Cart and SetFood table.. so.. can i have 2 data source? or can i have 2 select command in one datasource?? How to bind this 2 data to single gridview? Your idea and suggestions are really appreciated... thx

No. You need to return one table that combines the two data sources.

Hi Everyone,

I am developing an application in which I need to implement SMS polling and voting feature.

Suggest me some reliable SMS gateway providers whose Web Services I can consume in my application. I need to store the results back in to the database, so I need to receive the SMS also and store the result with Sender's detail.

Also suggest me that as a developer which things I need to take care of while developing such application...

Any suggestion would be helpful..

Hi All,

I'm working on a ajax enabled project.It was running fine in live server.But recently after eanbling ssl to the live server it is giving a config error like,

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Error Line:

Well, in the first instance, it's not urgent at all. I checked with everyone in the building.

Second, what can you tell us about your ability to read, your reading of this error message, and what you've done to make sure that it's not a reasonable error ?

Sorry...i was just able to add a new class and or page in VB to a C# project...which clearly suggest that it's possible.

The questions is passing data between pages that are written in VB.Net and C# both would also be pretty simple!!! Has anyone done somethign like that before?

Yes, but you need to alter your web.config like this:

<codesubdirectories>
<add directoryname="VB_Code">
<add directoryname="CS_Code">

Now create two folders in your App_Code, VB_Code and CS_Code. It's even possible to call up a VB function from C# code and I believe, vice-versa. I'm using VS 2005. Hope this helps

Hi All,

I'm new to ASP, so I just find a code and see how to workaround. I'm stuck on a simple thing.

In an excel file there is a column name, Tel, stand for telephone number. You can enter numbers or text there in cells.

The values are display on label as follows.

What happen here is, if the cell format is different, only one type(maximum number of elements in same type) is display. Say there are 3 text formats and 4 number format. Only the numbers are display.

Please give me a hint to sort out this.

Actually what I want to need is change the column cell format to text. In that case, even cell values are numbers of text/string, all the elements are text.

So basically what I want to do is, format the cell format in a specific column into text format.

Can you help me on this, please.

What do you mean by giving this two lines of code? What is your problem ?

redirecting to main page when session timeout

i'm trying to redirect the user to main page when session timeout, and i'm trying to do this at the event of session_end ().because when the time out the main page will be redirected automatically.

i tried response.redirect() but it gives an exception saying respnse is not available in this context.

can any one help me to do this.
