hi, i m developing a web system. i want to flash some news where i want only the news to be refreshed and not the whole page. i tried using add rotator along with ajax control i.e update panel, but still it is not working. can anyone provide me the code to do the same.

Well, AJAX is the only way to do it, unless you put the ad rotator in an iframe.

have you placed that addrotator exectally inside the update panel do check it..
when you drag and drop the controls at design time some times it place the control outside...

Hi friends,
Let me know how to sum the hours in a group of date field. I tried in total running field but it only sum the field of integer but i need to total the time(HH:MM:SS) field like below
Hrs
=====
12:01:00
14:10:00
13:56:00
=========
40:07:00 ------------> total hrs -expected output

I am developing web application using asp.net.
I want to read barcode of book in asp.net via web cam.
If user attach web cam ,web cam is detected in my web application and read barcode (in my case it is ISBN number ) when user move book infront of webcam.
Thus in short i want soruce code to read barcode in asp.net

This is not fun, I want my web application to detect their speaker, so I can SHOUT my commands as I sneak through the webcam.

This can't be done with ASP.NET. ASP.NET cannot run a webcam. However, you can write an active X control to control a webcam. If you can read a barcode from that, is another question.

i use application state to store the session data, after logging off i want to clear the session data relevant to the user , how can i do this, or is it clear by it self

That's odd. What are you trying to achieve? You can clear application variables by calling Application.Clear() or Application.Remove(ItemToRemove)

Hi,
i have created a user control in VS 2003. in user control it have 1 text box. in aspx page it have e user control with a button.
i try to read text from the user control, but it give error the textbox is null, even a have type text on it....
I can create user control in VS 2005, successfully but not in 2003. Can any one guide how to achieve it????

first of all i tried to read the value only from aspx page, i couldnt make it work
and then i try the above by set the value from aspx page, still it is not working.
