First thing make clear, email cannot be send from localhost. If this error occurs form web then check the host id. Is is configured for SMTP mail.

I used the following code for sending mail to my gmail id and i used the smtp server address also. i tried with different codes and different email smtp address also still getting the same error.

You cannot use smtp.gmail.com or smtp.yahoo.com like this. Because these server are will rejuct your request for mail send.
If you purchase any web domain and if that domain is smtp enabled for you, then only you can send mail.

How could we know that whether that mail server is smtp enabled or not. Or Can we enable from our code.

No, You cannot enable server for smtp from your code due to security reason. As i know, none of the service provider gives us this facility to enable from code. You can do it by using their admin panel.

You have to use .NET Mail API, If you find, you will get lots of sample on that.

Try again with same code, but send emails on Gmail account and not yahoo. If you get error , post it again.

Hi all,
I am sending bulk sms using http gateway , my problum is when i am sending 1000 msg. at a time ,then its taking around 10 minute to send this msg. ,so i want to reduce this time to 1 minute.

Sir , In my application wht i m doing is ,there is page in which user is pasting there mobile numbers and message n then pressing send button ,in back end i m running loop to catch no. and sending msg. one by one,in this process ,if there is 1000 no. then its taking long time in loop. i want to know tht is there any way to increase the performance of my application , my applcaiton is not on dedicated server , n my hosting provider is having good band width also. so i think there is no issue with band with n data tranfer here , so how is increase the performace of my application ,plz help me .
