Try explaining yourself in your post, not in your header. As far as I can see, you have written *no* code to do what you want. I see no database code here. So, perhaps if you have no idea where to start, you should buy a book, work through it, try to write some code, and ask us if you get stuck AFTER trying to do your own work ?

Hi,

In my master page (Asp.Net 2.0), I've given my img. It is showing well at design time but not at run time. In my solution, I put common.master in "Master Page" folder. All of my images in "Images" folder.

It is working well at design time. I select the image by using "Pick Url" only. I'm not typing the path by myself directly.

Well, perhaps you need to start being a programmer, and type in some values. The relative path is obviously killing you, either the images are in a different place on the live server, or something else is messing it up.

If you want to draw a frame around images, you can just specify a border using CSS. If you don't know what CSS is, google it.

Use data controls like GridView, DataGrid or repeater. Fill the data and bind to this control.

Hi all

am binding a gridview through code..and am editing the row using edit command in gridview

now everything is working fine..

now if i click on edit all the columns a editable except the datakey column...

i want to make some other column also not to be edited by the user..

how can i do that in GridView's RowEditing event?

Hi,

(I have downloaded a control from net named GoogleMapForASPNet.ascx)

My aim is store some values in a database .

So when the user is clicking on a point on GMAP a info window is getting raised up

and in that few textboxes with a submit button is placed .

i want to store the text box data into mysql database

* I dont want the page to get post back

what i have tried

Placed a html submit button and under Form i have written method="post" and action='apage.aspx'

now on submit button i am passing data via query string .. .. ... problem is its navigating to that apage.aspx

# is there anyway to stop navigating ?

Secondly i have placed a html button and added runat="server" and on onserverclick="butclick"

# Please tell me where to write the butclick function , i tried with writing the function in current page as well as the control page . but no result

# if i was wrong with two concepts .. please suggest something to solve this problem

Dont use submit button, rather use normal button and use XMLHttpRequest to call through AJAX.

Take a look on AJAX request using Javascript:

here when you click on the button it gets you the ajax response by raising an http call to the server.

Hi all,
I wish to know whether windows sharepoint services 2003 contains an inbuilt e-mail functionality.
I mean to say that it shouldn't be using any e-mail client for it's purpose.The e-mail feature should be embedded in it.Is there something like that?

Please let me know!! If there is something like that then my project is for a toss.

Well... I think it does.... Because I have emailed from servers which does not exists using Sharepoint services. Initially I thought there is no possibility of doing so,

Hi everebody,

After we applied the security update that is described in security bulletin MS07-040 - our ASP.NET 2.0 application started showing garbage data.

I read this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940521/en-us[^] and suspecting that this is happening beacuse of this.

If we refresh the page then the garbage characters are removed.

Please help if you could suggest anything.

If that is the reason for the problem, then your application has started to show garbage data that has been there all the time. That means that the update did not cause the problem, it was just not visible before.

Where does the garbage data show, and what does it look like?
