hi everyone
i'm trying to run one of the microsoft samples under the category service behaviors --> security. i did the basic configuration for the samples, but this one needs further settings and i have no idea how it can be done. below is the link to the sample description:

Hi,
did you pay attention to all of the settings described in the sample? Do you get an error message when you try to run the sample? What is the error message saying?

i did, the problem is i don't get what i should do with the setup.bat file and i need more detail guide. it throws the following exception in console window:
Exception: the requested service , 'http://localhost/servicemodelsample/service.svc' could not be activated.

Since the sample has something to do with security I assume it is a security issue. Have a look to the Windows Event Viewer, there should be an exact description of the error. Post this error here, so that we can have a look at.

Hello. Did anyone try to change his mac address,and achieve it? I can change it by using network adapter properties. And when looking its value with ipconfig/all command, it shows the value that i changed. But in this case it dosent connect any wireless networks. Later i learned that some registry keys are hold by windows. that is to say it was not enough to change the value from properties screen, also should have been changed registry. I found a program written with c++ but it didnt work again. Now, did anyone use that kind of program or write in c#. Or is it impossible?

You could go through the result, appending the delimiter. Of course, you'd have to use the delimiters one by one.
Or write your own method. Regex may work as well, not totally sure.

Hi there,
I was wonder if it is possible to send data from the computer to the mobile via C# program that make a Bluetooth connection to that mobile
in other word the computer (my application run on the computer), scan from enabled blue tooth devices then send to one of the device msg, and the the mobile can send back another msg,
if that is possible could the application on the mobile be in different language such java 2ME while the application running on the computer be C#,
please, if you just can give me a hint so I can start right , or some links that can help

I don't believe any bluetooth library exists in .NET, so you'd need to buy one.

I have a DataGridView with many DataGridViewTextBoxColumn(s). As soon as the value is changed within the cell I want to send it to my object--not once the cell loses focus--how can I do this? I tried to cast it to a textbox and created an event handler for TextBox's TextChanged event but the problem is I need the column and row info which you normally access through e.ColumnIndex and e.RowIndex of CellEndEdit and other events. Any ideas?
One thing I can do is on CellEnter I can grab the column number and row number and save it in a variable and use it later but is there an alternative? I need realtime event like the textbox's TextChanged event.

So, if I type in 'this is a stupid idea', you want to send 21 change messages ? Do you want to save you data 21 times ?
I would imagine the way to do this, is to set the Tag of the Textbox to contain the column and row, so you can parse it from there.

I actually did it by saving the column number and the row number at CellEnter.

No, just probe the object 21 times. For example,

If you don't want to send 21 times message then you should think about how to catch your changes. One possibility is On leave event but you don't want do that. I think you should use on leave cell event.

I have already read some guideline for naming, but I want to know how to naming a namespace if the project is custom for other company?
Normally, the guideline prefer the following practice:
CompanyName.TechnologyName[.Feature][.Design]
But if I am working on CompanyA and its product is ProductA, I need to customize for CompanyB, which one is prefer?
CompanyB.ProductA or
CompanyA.ProductA.CompanyB or
any suggestion?

but if CompanyA is software house, CompanyB is the client and will not see that namespace, is it a good practice to keep CompanyB in the namespace to indicate the customized project is for CompanyB?

Hi, i have a small problem i have a csharp dll built in VS2005.I have to access the functions from this dll in my VC++ project done in VC 6.0.My VC project is not able to identify my C# namespace and class.I dont get what the problem is. I assume the tlb means you've created a COM dll. Have you tried specifying the GUID directly, instead of using the smart pointer stuff ? Also, why are you sure the class name gets a _ put in front of it in VC ?
You'd do better to upgrade to a less crap version of C++, and then you can just use managed C++ as your bridge.
