i disabled okControlID and CancelControlID to be able to disregard the client script and the button would go directly to the function on my code behind.. my problem is, my function won't trigger even if i added event handler on my button.. any idea?

Hello All,
I developed one web application which use URL re-writer.Also we use extension less URL. When i published and deploy my application on server it works OK for extension less URL because global resourse file is used as App_GlobalResources.dll. But when i want to use this as file in my deployed application it works OK for .aspx pages.But when extension less URL is called then following error occured
HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Please help to solve this problem.

This is very common error. Did you debug your application? Check which line throwing the exception.

you must be having this error in retrieving password value right??
when ever page is post back password values are disappead for security issues...
in your case if you want to use password value on next page then you will have to save its value...
txtpassword.attibutes["value"]= txtpassword.text;
now your value of password textbox on post back will not lost and use use it where ever you want...

A cookie is a small amount of data that is stored either in a text file on the client file system or in-memory in the client browser session. Let me clear the thing first, Caching and Session both are server side state management. Session is User Specific , Session data is stored in either Memory Object, or in State Server or in SQL Server . You can read This[^] article for Detail on session.
Cache store data on server and its is not user specific, so all user will get the same data.

go to edit templates select that row and se properties visibility false

One Solution is:
put your Primary Key in a hidden field in Template Field and get it by using find control for that row.
Data key names property of GirdView will also help you to achieve that.

So i write a single function to do this process and call the function for the n number of controls. To do so i am inneed to pass the file controls as args to that function. How to achieve this.

Am I missing something, or are you asking how to write a basic method signature in .NET ? If you're talking about an event, you can't change their signatures. If you're talking about a basic method, what is the issue ? Also, you don't need to pass the file controls ( although you sure can ), you can pass the file data without passing the controls, if you need to.
