Choosing where to draw the line isn't. We can't just say "We'll only send 10,000 emails an hour, first in, best dressed". There are options, though, such as saying you only get an email if you've visited that forum in the last N months. Or I could sell a kidney and just buy a bunch of servers and some serious bandwidth. However, this might also mean the posts could possibly be from forum spammers.
