debugging BHO

hi i'm having troubles debugging an BHO with IE7 and VS 2008
i'm using the BHO from http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/Attach_BHO_with_C_.aspx[^]
the application is working fine for me
I searched to how to debug BHO. this is what I found:
"Set your IE home page set to about:blank . That way you can start up the browser as fast as possible and go where you need to. So, start up the first IE window. Then, from VS.NET use the Attach to Process item in the Debug menu to attach to iexplore.exe. Set breakpoints in your BHO. To break within the constructor, just open a second IE window."

I did that but it didnt work for me
it's just ignoring my breakpoints
do you know otherway to debug?
or maybe I'm missing something?

Hi,

i wanna do a macro program for a game.But there is a problem with sending keys to only game application (game window).I am using keybd_event API for sending keys to game window.But i only want to send keys to game window not to explorer or any opened window while my macro program running.When i changed window its still sending keys.I tried to use Interaction.App with giving Visual Basic.dll referance.But Interaction.App is only Focus the game window.I couldnt find anything about my problem.Can anyone help me ?

when we say the size os type 'bool' is 1 byte?

It means the bool variable takes memory of 1 byte.You should take some basic book of fundamentals and c#.

that mean the boll tybe can contain two values 2 ^ 1

Hi,
I have a application which i want to run and operated programmatically using C#. Using the System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() i can run the .exe. But i wish to operate or click on the various buttons on the UI of the program.
For instance i can run Calculator using System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Calculator). Now the Calculator application is up and running how can i operate on it programmatically. Is it possible to press the various buttons of the Calculator like "+", "-", "1" , "2" etc, programmatically ??

Can you be more specific to your Qs/requirement?

although at runtime time you can create datatable using DataTable class.Use google/msdn

Why don't you use List?Use list of Datatable.Here you don't need to worry about the size.Create datatable at runtime and add to the list.Whenever you need you iterate the list and use them accordingly.

That's OK.But if I don't put the value in configuration then how would i know the count of datatables ???

You can get the count from the list itself.You can store it some session variable (if user specific) or application varaiable(if application specific) for any other use.

One thing How are you getting the count of the table.Is it coming at runtime?Can you be more specific to requirement?

A windows service is supposed to launch an application, passing some arguments to the executable. I am trying to do this using CreateProcessWithLogonW(string principal,
string authority,
string password,
LogonFlags logonFlags,
string appName,
string cmdLine,
CreationFlags creationFlags,
IntPtr environmentBlock,
string currentDirectory,
ref StartupInfo startupInfo,
out ProcessInfo processInfo) API function.

I set the parameter "cmdLine" for passing string to the executable. The following code doesn't get me anything ...

Process.Start will do it. Process class provides options to supply arguments too.

Thanks for the answer ... I started with Process.Start() actually but that wasn't fulfilling the requirements. e.g, The windows service is running under the "Network Service" user, a less privileged user,that wont be having the rights to display application on desktop, etc. So for such security tunnings I had to use CreateProcessWithLogonW() API function.

"cmdLine" argument that i'm trying to pass to CreateProcessWithLogonW() is a string basically but does it have some specific format ? I'm simple passing the value as
cmdLine = "testargument";
Is it OK ????
