Hi, I made a query for getting a data from a local database within the project folder, and my string was: @"Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=" + Environment.CurrentDirectory + @"\App_Data\aspnetdb.mdf;Integrated Security=True; User Instance=True"
But, the problem is that the CurrentDirectory is pointing to "C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\\Common7\\IDE" instead of the folder where is my project. What can be the issue?? Thx in advance, Laziale

You are running a web application through cassini (Visual Studio's built in Web Server).
To get paths relative to your website use MapPath[^]

Environment.CurrentDirectory, is perfectly valid for Windows and console project.
But for ASP.net projects use 'Request.PhysicalApplicationPath', in the aspx.cs file.
If you are writing the code in class file in App_Code folder, then pass this as an argument from code page.

You can add CheckBox inside gridview just simply using Adding Template Field.

Well, you need runat=server for the gridview, obviously. And just as obviously, you can emit any html you like without the server tag, inside the gridview. So, you need to better explain your issue.

yeah there is gridview control.
but there is diference between datagridview and gridview.
now i want to apply the same properties to girdview[webapplication]which i have applied to datagridview in window aplication.

There is a namespace for ASP.NET controls, and one for windows forms controls. You cannot use windows forms controls in ASP.NET, but there are many grid controls in the ASP.NET namespace, which you can use.
Did you consider perhaps either trying it, or doing some sort of search before asking this question ?

Could be a swf, but in this case, I think they are doing it with javascript. If you want to work it out, right click and choose 'view source' and look through the page source.

Why did you expect that to happen ? I've never seen a DB appear in the App_Data folder.

I've seen SQL Express databases coming to that folder. If I remember correctly, it was when I used ASP.NET profiles.

I have grid with 4 columns n scrollbar

I'm not sure you can do that with a gridview, because to do it at all, you need to create a fixed size DIV with scrollbars for the other columns. You may need a repeater for that level of control.

Hi Everybody,
I'm using VS.Net 2005.In my page i've a gridview,I'm binding some data to to gridview, in this grid i've a invisible column.on mouse click on that row i want to open a new window with showing the value of invisible column.
I don't to pass the value with the query string and don't want to use session variables.
