i wrote.. the code
toolTip1.SetToolTip(textFunctionget, TooltipshowNI[i]);
toolTip1.ShowAlways = true;
here textFunctionget is the textbox
and TooltipshowNI[i] is the array
IWin32Window?????
i found only this.....
tooltip1.SetToolTip(Control contol,String Caption)
Cotrol is the name of the textBox,,,, and caption the message from the array TooltipshowNI[i]

I guess I misunderstood your problem. I am using only this line of code in TextChanged event and this works fine for me.
oToolTip.Show("hi", this.txtSample, this.txtSample.Right, this.txtSample.Bottom,1000);

hi all.
I want to create a Web Analytics project in C#
is this possible in C#? must I do it from the server side or can I do also from the client side? where can I find good examples on how to start?
are there any drawbacks to do it in C#(compatibility issues) ?

Classically web analytics services work by including a small snippet of JavaScript on every page. The JavaScript sends a message to the analytics server every time the page is visited. The JavaScript will gather the specific data about the client that is connecting, and send it to the analytics server.
The server can then count the number of visits, and calculate the trends etc.
There's no reason why you can't write the server part in C#, you just need to expose the server endpoints in some way. (WCF/WebServices/etc)
There are a few open source projects around that you could look at.

(This isn't a small project. If your new to C#, you might want to pick something simpler to start with and come back to this when you have a bit more experience)

I am new to C#, but I hope I will not run to too many problems(google is going to be my best friend for that  )
I saw here in the forum that there is another way to do it.
you can do it by building an add-in to the browser ( should work only on explorer)
what do you think about that way?
is it more diffuclt in your opinion?
in both ways I need to use Windows Hooks to capture the user events?
p.s
I want my project to be generic. are both ways good for that?

It depends on what you want to use it for, but I would suggest that a browser addin isn't going to capture very good data for you.
I doubt many users are going to be prepared to install browser addins to allow a website to track their usage. I certainly wouldn't. And like you said, it will only work for IE. (It might work in a company environment where you have control over the users PC). Also, I don't think you can write IE addins in C# (although I could be wrong about this)
Traditional web analtics packages track things like time spent on site, pages visited, so you wouldn't need to use windows hooks to track this kind of thing. Are you talking about a different kind of anaylitcs?

the point of the project is learning C#, so I dont mind if useres will have to install it on their computers.
I want to track a lot of things. mouse clicks, which controls are there in the page, mouse speed, the percentage of time the mouse was over text, the speed a user typed inside text fields....these are just few of them
maybe I can't write addin with C#(I still need to check it out), it was just a thought

Yes, this is going to be a more client side thing rather than a traditional style "web analytics".

Hello everyone,
I am trying to find ways to draw a run time changeable string over a DirectX 8 game. I tried almost everything search engines could provide me with, and i came up only with the "proxy" solution. Since i am familiar only with C#, and C++ is not an option it is very difficult for me to build the expected .dll. I am wondering if you know other possibility of rendering this text over the directx game. The most annoying problems i found were:
1. The directX app is fullscreen.
2. The app is using directx 8 . Barely finding resources.
3. I need to have my application to control when to draw, when to stop, what to draw over the DirectX.
4. I need to use C#.
If i used wrong terms like "drawing over" i am sorry, but i'm not too familiar with the Drawing part of coding.

If you didn't write the game, I suspect you're dreaming. If there's a supported way that requires a C++ dll, then you'll need to write it in C++.

Actually i have seen it done in several applications and even with more complex drawings (images, transparency etc). I can live with using a c++ dll and importing its functions in c# but i need a dll with exposed (and if possible explained) functions.... I only found code for directx 9 proxies, but my recent searches led to me to believe that this is possible by using somehow GDI/GDI+.

--1-> I have to do something in this context (that you did)
--2-> I'm having a specific problem here: eg I'm using word templated, but I'm stuck there, Crystal Reports does not pass my parameter or even why not: I'm not sure where to start, can you give me advice.
-> I did a, b, c as a solution and searched here and there, but...
then you'll find people more reactive towards what you're trying to accomplish.

Hey Everybody,
I'm havin' a bit of trouble trying to solve a problem here and I've googled for quite a while now and I am tryng to search files on my computer for any URL and get thos URL's into a string... The URL could be anywhere inside the file and I keep getting 1 error when I TRY to debug:
Error 1 The name 'word' does not exist in the current context
Here's the code that I have:

As far as your requirement is concerned, I would have used following code:
Regex reg = new Regex(regMatch);
Match oMatch = reg.Match(ReadAll);
Google will easily provide you a regular expression(regMatch) to find a URL in text.

Didn't try, but this looks very weird. I'm quite sure this is lacking some blanks and/or brackets.
Tip: Use String.Format instead of + to concat strings. It's much faster (which is not that relevant here) and much more readable.
