Can you control the parameters of a port opened on a remote machine?? Not likely, but you haven't said what you're really trying to accomplish with the method either.

I'm trying to connect with a remote system via gsm and make data acquisition. But i need to give some commands to the equipment via it's RS485 port. There's any other way to do this?

write a bit of software that takes an SMS as input and outputs RS485. Then connect the output of the computer to the input the hardware.

Hi All,
I want to implement MVC in C#.net. I have multiple view and single controller.
I have grid on the form which is docked in MDI Parent form. User want to view same out put in un-docked view. If user perform any action then same effect should appear on the both views.

The above error raised while open an report. DataSet dsRoutecard.xsd file is used as datasource. Tables are filled before opening the report.

If you're using CrystalReportViewer object to show the report, try wiring CrystalReportViewer.Error and CrystalReportViewer.HandleException events. They should give you more info what goes wrong.

Are you sure that a new path is being sent to the method? If you attempt to ovewrite the open file you can get this message. If a new path is being set, check that your program has write permissions on it.

Try not disposing of anything, and see if it works. I have had problems closing streams in a similar scenario. If it works, try wrapping the disposable objects in using blocks instead (which strangely seemed to work in my case).

Hai all,
I wrote a code to read & write in the Excel 2007 in C#.net 2005.
I made an exe of it to deploy. It works fine in the development environment but fails outside it giving the Error:
************** Exception Text **************
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.Excel, Version=1.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Why this problem occurs? How to solve?

A node can't exist in two treevies at once. Each node has to be cloned first so some sort of loop is inevitable. Two code snippets below. The first does what you want but with a loop. The second moves the nodes rather than copies but no loop required.
