And in addition, you need to set some styles on your div tag:
<div style="overflow: auto; height: 200px;"> will show a vertical scroll bar if the content of the div is taller than 200px.

u can use iframe and given iframe source to the file which you want to open and set iframes property as you desire.

Firstly thanks for reply.
yes i would like to know how to save file on client side.
brief explanation is that
i have a file which i upload through fileuploader and file path is store like this : ~/directoryname/filename.ext this data link is stored in database and file is stored in given location (directory name) all is going fine. and i show this file on a linkbutton when i click on this link button i would like that save this file on client computer and file extension may be any thing like .zip, .rar, .bmp, .jpg, .xls, .zip etc. how to save on click event of the linkbutton.
I will do my best?

Hyperlink have href property just put the whole path in href including file extension
href=~/directoryname/filename.doc
it will do all things that you wanted check it

It's a method, so call it. USe this for sender, and EventArgs.Empty for event args, if you don't have any. Of course, if the code expects values in the event args, then you're screwed.
it looks to me like this a third party control, I suspect you need to read their docs as to how to report progress. Why the hell are you using a third party control if you're 'very new at this' ?

In another place, I set the cookies when a user's login

In another place again, I set the cookies when the user logout

The problem is : when user login and click any link in page i find cookies have been deleted 
What issue ?

Doesnt this remove the cookie (It only leaves the cookie on the first visit because request wont have that cookie)??

Yes, I think so, it just a different way to access it
Sometimes when you are inside a class, you need to use the httpcontext to access response, cache, sesion...

Hi,
I have had this problem quite offten when I rebuild the project. The fist line of the page is getting messed up and producing a runtime error as shown below. I think somehow it is loosing the inherits state. How can I come over this problem.

I am using Gridview's Edit by enabling AutoGenerateEditButton="true" .I am able to Edit,but the values n't getting Updated.I am using xsd's.Even it's n't giving exception.
