Hi,
I'm having a problem updating my project files on the production server.
I usually update on the development server and then copy the files on the production server.
There's only one problem that happened once when I was updating. A user was online on the website while I was copying the files so it caused some kind of error and the pages couldn't load data from the database.
I need to know a safe way to copy the files and replace the old files on the server without causing any problems to online users.
Note that they are usually updating the database and stuff like that?
What can I do?

There are 2 ways of updating.
1. By setup
2. By publishing
I think you are using the second method. If so then i would suggest you to take down the server for the time you are updating and then make it online after updation. This is what all the hosting providers do. Because you are normally not updating your site daily.

there's only one thing, should I send all users that we're going to update the site on a certain day so their data won't be lost too during updates. or what?

No need to send all the users a message. Just replace your default index page with a custom html page with a message. "The site is currently down for maintainance purposes. Please check back in 2 hrs. Sorry for inconvenience."

We use to put a app_offline.html file to the website root. This will redirect all requests getting for ASPX pages to this html file. Write some friendly message which says the site is being updated, please wait.
If you use website copy tool integrated with visual studio, it does this automatically. When it starts uploading files, app_offline.htm file will be placed automatically to the website root and will get deleted automatically after upload. Here[^] is a MSDN article which talks about this.

I want to set the visibilty of a menu item false form a page and the asp menu is located in a masterpage (Please Remember that i want to make invisible not the menu but an item in menu)after checking a session.Someone please give me the code to do so.

Make a new menu without the item you dont want to show.
Now make the table cell in which the menu is placed server side. Then in the code behind chek the session and the place the necessary menu in the table cell.

You have to run a store procedure which will take the name of the field to be added.That store procedure will have the TSQL commands for updating the table. Then run the store procedure from your c# code like you normally do.
Though i would not recommend you to do this. If you can tell me your scenario why you want to add a field on run time then perhaps i could tell you a better way then what you are trying to do now.

Sir i am doing the fee collection project in that when the user creating the head in the feeparticular master when he creates the fee head, automatically another feild will creates in other table like fld01,fld02 in this increment order. So that i can track that records. For this will you suggest me a code in asp.net using c#.

You don't need to make a new field every time.
you have to use the Primary key foreign key relation in the tables. This will solve your problem.
When a head is created a Primary key will be generated. Against that Primary key store the values in the other table.
