HI Guys,
I am trying to override the existing Save button in Word 2007.
Currently my code here doesn't seem to work, but it works when I add a new control on my command bar.
_wordApp.CommandBars["Standard"].Controls["&Save"].Visible = false;
this line doesn't work, it still appears in Word.

i have application that works well as window app. i took some of the code to winservice it work. i now make the parameter to come from database. the service is running but does not send mail again

Hi All,
I have made one window service in which i have included some COM components like Microsoft.Internet Control.
In a seperate Window application my code is working properly but when i integrate that code in my window service in gives me COMException like
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39} failed due to the following error: 8007000e.
Is there any solution for this kind of error????

hi,
I want to update the column(reorder) after i drop a column inside the datagridview. The updation is based on the column index value. when i drop the column to the datagrid it get add at the last of the datagridview. Have any logic to over come this.....? so that i droped it should display at the droped position....

Well my question is in the title. I have a Windows form whose background is an image with gradient colour. In this form I have a tabControl. I want the background of the tab pages to look the same as the background of the form. But since the tabControl does not cover the whole form and the background image is gradient, simply adding the background image that I used for the form, as the background image for the tab page will not work, the colours will be different etc. Is there any way to make the tab page totally transparent, such as you can see the background of the form while in the tab page?
I have looked around the internet and there doesn't seem to be possible
Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
Edit: By the way im using C#

It will be difficult for the consistency you are looking for because the tabcontrol takes part in the visual styles of the OS. To get what you are asking you might have to create your own tabcontrol (or modify an already custom tabcontrol (it will be easier to find then transparent tabpages)). I suggest googling or codeprojecting for a custom tabcontrol.

If another process is reading/writing to the file, the file may be locked and can't be altered except by the calling thread.

I have 2 comboBox in the same row of a DatagridView. When I attach an event one of them, the other comboBox also fires the same event. How can I attach an event only to a particular combo in a DataGridView

Hi Friends,
I need to develop a plugin to add my own toolbar in Outlook express/ Windows Mail.I tried to get handle of window mail window (while it's running); then placed my toolbar in some desired position in the windows mail window, but as we hide some of the toolbar window; my own custom toolbar gets displayed;
kindly help me in this; as Microsoft Outlook has its own object model and allows to customize its GUI and rest handles by itself.
Do we have any such mechanism to use for GUI customization, in case of Outlook Express/ Windows mail also.
I am using win32 c.
Kindly help me in whatever way you can , coz I really NEED it ASAP.

Windows Forms means .NET Windows applications. You could try the C++ forums ( NOT managed C++, that's .NET, too )

Can someone assist me in how to get data binding to work across multiple forms. Here is the scenario: I am using a dataset with about 20 tables. I have a central form where i display read only lists of about 10 tables. The user selects an item from any displayed list to go to another form where the user can edit the item or go deeper into other related tables.
Unfortunately, i cannot get the binding to work. I tried passing the binding source it didn't work. I keep getting constraint errors. Also, the data is not showing up (as if the actual reference is not valid).
I am new at this so i am lost as to how to proceed. I have looked in books and articles but no help there. All the books or articles provide overly simplified examples.
If anyone can help, i thank you in advance.

you would have to instantiate(sp?) an instance of each form, with public controls(bad idea) then you could access the controls to databind them, and when you wanted to show that perticular form use the instance you already have to load it, not necessarily the best idea...another idea is to load a dataset with all of your data in different datatables(you probably already do this) and then pass the dataset to a public property on the form before you call form.show() so that when you call form.show and the form_Load event fires you can use the dataset you passed to load any data that form needs.
something like :
form frm = new form();
frm.DataSetProperty = dataSet;
frm.Show();
and in form_Load you just bind whatever controls you need based on the tables in the dataset, you could just pass dataTables, but it sounds like you need more than one table per form.
