Please provide the error message you are getting?
Is the "CreateObject" throwing an error? If yes, then check if the correct class name is referenced in the CreateObject method.

anybody has a sample program (with VB or JAVA) to read from an XML file to a simple form (include a text field and a check-box or radio-button) and load dat of these controls and then save changes again on XML file by pressing a "save" button.
I need for old ASP (not ASP.NET)

i' having i think a little probleme with my iis.i' ve a;ways used my visual studio 2005 embbeded web server and now i'm trying to use
it but i'm facing a weird error statement like "Failed to access iis metabase".
I'll try to describe my iis configuration as precise as possible.
first visual studio is on and my project files are on E:\Visual Studio 2005\projects ,E:\Visual Studio 2005\Templates,
E:\Visual Studio 2005\WebSites.

i just created one page site with one labels and 1 button.the same thing works with the the embbeded server.here i'm having this:
Failed to access IIS metabase.i included the page.thanks for suggestion
Ps:by the way in my search i just found stuff code to register the iis.

Yes, it is secure.
When you are running the 1.1 and 2.0 framework simultaneously then as you stated problem comes into the picture.
No problem at all just go ahead and install it (aspnet_regiis -i).

The problem is that the class containing the code behind for the page doesn't exist.
You have to compile the code before running it. If you have deployed the files to a server, you have to include the compiled code (bin folder) also.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

Just make sure that the page with name default exists in your website.
If this page exists and you are still getting the error, then please let us know..

1) The virtual directory should have been marked as an application in IIS.
2) The application should have a bin folder with the .CS/.VB files built before using the application.

Hi Friends,
I have implemented for ASP .Net Ajax in our web application. Now it is working fine.
My problem is, I have implemented a page with required field validator. Now the required field validator is working fine for when first time loaded. The second time is not working for validate empty value.
Please help me urgent for how to change our source in my application.

Hi!
I'm newbie in ASP.NET world.
My question is:
I have a web page (ASP.NET 2.0 with code behind file C#) with some controls, like text boxes, drop down lists and so on.
I'd like when an user change any data in any control, and then he/she try to close the browswer or try to leave the web page without save the data, it appear a message box warning that he/she will lose the changes.
Note: Script options doesn't work because I'm using master pages and scripts can't be inserted in content file. So I need a code-behind solution.
Do you have any idea?

(1) As per my perception, we can use scripts in Content page.
Suppose that you have written few methods in js file called "myjs.js" and then you can access all methods in content page.
First add this file in master page like below tag:
<script language="JavaScript" src="myjs.js"></script>
(2) Script is only a way that we can handle achieve your requirement
< body onbeforeunload="alert('Closing');">
this is strait way that you shows alert on browser close event.
(3) If wants that if something change on your page, then in that case you need to set flag in cookies and with option two (onbeforeunload) event we can check whether something is change or not and then on the basis of that show the alert message.

I'm using grid view
in each row I'm using details link to show complete details about members.
when I click on details link then this row only should be hide and
I want to expand gridview and I want to show all member details in that expanded part and other grid view rows will be same.

Use javascript to show/hide a div containing your detals. You may find this easier to achieve if you use a repeater.

I haven't heard of using viewstate to bind data's to gridview. You know you can bind any type to gridview that implements IEnumerable.

hello friends
I need to send a email when the user comes back from paypal after sucessfull payment so i have stored the mail message in a session variable ( i am having some 12 fields to be included in email)
But session is getting expired any suggestions please tell me

You moved from your domain from another one, so I guess session will be lost. use a cookie instead to keep the value.
