Store the id of your text control in a variable in your code behind. Then use a better variable name in javascript. Install firefox and firebug to debug your code and see where it's failing.

Hi,
I already use Firebug to debug my code, its failing when I use the indexOf method of the string variable "txtTime".. despite the fact that I defined the variable txtTime but the script still fails. Firebug says that the object has no properties. I searched much about this error but I couldn't find the solution.

Hi all,
Can somebody point me in the right direction please?
I want to write a browser based application that will run on any/all the machines on my network. I want to be able to see a list of all the machines on the network and run media files on those machines. For example, if I have machines in my office, bedroom, kitchen and lounge. I want to be able to see a list of those computers. As I click on one I want to be able to specify that certain music tracks, stored centrally, are played on that computer.
That's the basic concept of what I'm trying to do. Technically, I'm fine with VB/ASP and so I'd prefer to write this in classic rather than .net. The primary things for me to do at this stage are scan the network for the machines that are connected and make either Windows Media Player (or a browser plug-in) play a file on one of those remote machines.
Can anyone point me in the direction of doing these two things please?

This seems like a fantasy to me. Your browser cannot scan your network or play mp3. You need a client app for that.

I think my subject line not dat much clear...
Here is My Requirement:
*I hav windows project ..it displays ads in the masterform.. and also
*I hav webproject in dat user is going to add their adds(i mean de can register their ads in dis webproject)
Actually Client uses the Windows project.. when client is connected to internet and opens our website(our webproject) den we have to upload our ads which r registered in our webproject into ClientSystem(Window project) in place of ads(In masterform we r providing place for Displaying ads..AdRotator )..
How can i achieve this.. how can i solve dis by WebServices/WinodwsServices...
Plz..Help me in dis issue...I need ur suggestions....

Hi all,
I did a page with drag and drop image option. Drag event is fired on mousedown event, onmousemove the image is dragged and onmouseup event it's placed in the new coordinate.
Now i was asked to a add new feature click event on that image. So that they can double click on that image and view it's full size in another window.
How to do this. Because when i click that image then mousedown event is fired and and calling my mousemove event, ondoubleclick event is not firing at all.
How to solve this issue
I searched for a sample, but there is no solution.

But when first time mouse over on image popup window is opend and onmouseout closed but not more without page refresh means it works only one time when mouse over on image after first time error is at line 21 where <img src.............>

We are facing a problem in retrieving the fully-qualified domain name (for example IN.<domain>.com) from ISS server.
I have tried using "<%= Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") %>" server variable but this returns only a part of domain name(for eg:”IN”).
Could you please suggest us a method to retrieve the complete domain name in ASP?

Do you know how to retrieve email content from a specific email account? For example I want to retrieve the content(body) of my personal email in my gmail, so what I need to do is to supply the DNS, username, password in order to download the email content.
Is this possible?

You need to configure you GMail account so that it supports POP. POP is a way to retrieve mail from a mailserver to your machine (using a mail client). That mail client is the application you are about to develop.

I tried downloading your demo application but there's an error in my end.
But I actually made a simple application which I can now retrieve some email content. But after changing the host to pop.gmail.com and port 995 it will display an error on the page.
I am not sure if you are familiar with this - System.Net.Sockets.TcpClient()
I think the only thing to get rid of the error is to enable the SSL, but the problem is I don't know if the System.Net.Sockets.TcpClient() has a property for enabling the SSL. I tried checking it but I don't think there's a way to change it on System.Net.Sockets.TcpClient().
Any idea?

If it is practical,I was looking to adding a navigation bar for my website through a javascript or php or some other technique.
I was hoping i could just at this to the beginning of an html file (with whatever related changes). I make the document in wordprocessor and just want to add standard links for my website to the page, and maybe have those links in a shared file. Basically this is just to avoid using frames.
This may be a simple and basic website design feature. I just wasn't finding this type of code.
