whats the point in having a coding forum if you just point them to google everytime they have a coding question, often google just points you to another forum anyway. Just answer a question for once, i'm starting to think you people don't have any other response than 'see goggle'.

i mean people who always tell people to go to google, which seems to be the whole damn forum community at the moment.

If you read my article on how to use google, I make it clear there. Some things, forums are great for. Other things, are just too complex to be covered in a forum reply, and/or are just so straightforward, that encouraging people to use google will give them the skills they need to help themselves.
Not everything is answered with 'try google', but top level, non specific questions, often are. By non specific I mean, not specific to their problem, but something that lots of people do, and is widely documented.

this syntax is wrong..
Error:(No Acessible format accepts this no of arguments)
can any one help how to format the value of field(pssl_unitprice) from xml file...

hi all,
in my program, i query for some data to the database, which is located on web server and have MY-SQL database.Result of query is stored in dataset. when i parse text related field(using system.encoding) of dataset,then it does not give me proper value. for example, if text contains some latin or greek word, then i does not parse them properly
(for limitation reason, i does not post those words, because '?' replace these characters )
i use following statement for parse above code
Encoding.UTF8.GetString(Encoding.Default.GetBytes(DatasetFieldWhichContainsValue)) or
DatasetFieldWhichContainsValue
Encoding.UTF7.GetString(Encoding.Default.GetBytes(DatasetFieldWhichContainsValue))
.
.
and many more. but all failed
anybody have idea, that how can i resolve this problem ?

any way you like, if there was a standard way, everyone would know how to defeat them.
Typically you need to store the date the software was installed somewhere so you can check it, and close down if the trial has passed.

You should perhaps keep a count of the number of executions as well, especially if the app is not date critical. This way, even if you end use resets their clock, then program will expire at some point.

I would just store the date in two places, and store the date of the last time run. If it goes backwards, I'd write something telling me to never work again ( so long as it went back 24 hours, otherwise could be daylight savings or a timezone change )

What about when the clock is changed for legitimate reasons and the user forgets to reset the clock before running the trail software again?

Rered my post - there's no legitimate reason to move your code > 24 hours, unless it was wrong to start with, this is rare.

I can think of several reasons where the date is changed. Our accounts department often changes the date. I changed the date on my PC serval times today, whilst developing date sensitive software, to test different functions.
