Hi,
Currently I am trying to create a drop down list which user could type in his/her desired words and the drop down list will filter accordingly and list down for the user. The item in the list is from the SqlDataSource which I use a stored procedure to call out the list of item to be populate in the drop down list. For example, the user type 'a', the words aeroplane, apple will be listed out but not ball, boy and when the user type 'ae', the word aeroplane will appear and not apple.
I found some solutions but it is not working, maybe some of you had already done this, so I would really appreciate that you could share your experience with me.
By the way, I am using C# ASP.NET.

Ok, I did saw those two ajax component, thanks for the confirmation that they can do what I'd been looking for, I shall try it. But the only thing is I not sure how to link the Autocomplete extender to a SqlDataSource, I dragged and drop the SqlDataSource but not sure the coding on how I link the Autocomplete to this SqlDataSource of mine. I read something about WebServices but not sure how I can use that to link the Autocomplete Extender with the SqlDataSource.

i have one sms api. this api works with webpage url like

i have one button which is sending client to another webpage.
how can i send sms message client while sending to another page?
i want to send the client default2.aspx and sending sms at the same time. but whitout showing my own sms sending informaiton to client.
i have also xml code for api.

Do a HTTPPost in your page code to the SMS API, the same as if it was a winforms app.

I am trying to use the abovementioned codeproject Project by Gary Dryden.
My first GridView (master page) shows up fine, but when the (+) is clicked, it doesn't display the 2nd GridView in the detail page.

i am trying to create a session.but getting failed.when i enter username and password to the text boxes and as i click on login button.the member's page appears. but when clicks on logout button it comes to login page.if i copy the url of member's page and again paste the url from login page then members page again appearing. how to avoid this problem?
how to create a session for a particular user?
i want that after log out the member can't go back,and if we paste the url of member's page from login page it should not redirected.

Hi,
Inorder to solve your problem you need to do follow the below steps.
1)on sucess full login before redirecting to members page keep the username in session.
2)on page load of members page check for the session contain some value..
if it contains some value then the use is a logged in user else if it is null redirect user to login page.
3)on clicking logout clear the session so that after clicking if user copy pastes that members page link also he will be redirected to login page has you cleared session.

Make sure that when you are testing if you are using the same browser session to logout the first user else their details will remain until you log them out.

Where the inCurrencyID is my HtmlInputHidden.
At the first time my page loads, I add a DataView to the dgCurrency datasource.
When I push a button the first time, the inCurrencyID has it's value, as in:

Now the next time I push the same button, it has now lost it's value????
The same goes for the label lblISOCode.
The strange thing is that I also have an TextBox in the DataGrid, and that control stil have it's Text.
Dose anyone know why, or is there another hidden fild that I can use that dosen't lose it's value on a PostBack without a databind()?

Possibly enableviewstate flag needs to be set to true.
You are using a standard html input item, rather than a dotnet control. This is ok since you set the runat server attribute. You may also want to set the enableviewstate="true" attribute as well. Not sure if this solves it, but worth a try.
An alternative would be to use an 'asp:label' tag and set it's visibility to false. This gives you a fully qualified dotnet control, yet is not displayed to the user.
