I have just tried implementing a new control for RSS feeds for my website
The control worked fine locally but when I put it on the server it returned the above error message.
Anyone knows why this would be?

that means server unreachable from your server. Try to open the port to access particular host

So what your saying is that there is a port on the server which is blocking rss feeds from other websites

hi,
i hav a problem. i require a functionality in my website that when i'm logged out of my website and if i've pressed back button after logging out, i am coming to the same page. where as i want session to be deleted for that user and it shouldn't navigate back instead it should say that user has been logged out. please help, its urgent.[ Frown | :(

The autoeventwireup , if it is set to false , it will not execute the code written in the page load function , and reverse is true.
My question is , how should i implement this case in the project and in which situation i should use it?

if ajax is incorporated with my project , i can easily invoke the message box using scriptmanager.registerstartupscript(......), what should i do in case , i am not using the ajax in the project?

If you are not using ajax in your project you dont need scriptmanager

The issue is , i am not being able to invoke the message box.Now , for some reasons i used ajax in the project.Subsequently , i got the scriptmanager class.Through this class , i can invoke the message box , using the below code.
scriptmanager.registerstartupscript(page,typeof(page),"","alert('message box');",true);
if i am not using the ajax in the project.Then the script manager class does not includes in the intellisence.
Now , how should i invoke the message box?

You could use javascript to invoke the messagebox. I dont think scriptmanager would make that much of a difference.
I could see it being a probelm if you used the extender control which provides a confirmation message but that isnt what your doing

I am using input button type ="submit" and I want to redirect to(.aspx) another page if the dropdown value "Cheque" is selected.

if the button is on the client side then check the value of dropdown in the javascript and then open the other aspx page using window.open()...

if the button is on the server side then on the button click check the dropdown value and use Response.Redirect(other aspx page url)..

Hi,

I am using .net's Dropdownbox. Dropdown box contains 3 values.

if Credit card is used I am redirect to payment gateway. for payment gateway

i am using input button type ="submit" because it was essential.

Now if the other values select then I want to redirect to .aspx page when same input button is click.

i didn't understand where u got held up..

Is the input button is on the server side? if so then in the post back check the drop down value .. if it is Credit Card then redirect it to payment gateway..

Two ways

1 - can you access the form tag and change it's action via javascript ?
2 - why not just redirect in your code behind if the dropdown has that value ?

I use the Login control a sign-in.
Now I need to sign-out.
But I do not want to use the LoginStatus control.
I have a button named ButtonExit and Text is sign-out.

What does tis mean ?

I found the login control to be next to useless.

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
