Hi,
I have added radion buttons dynamically using RadionButtonList control. am facing small problem. Radio buttons appears with line border. How to remove the border? below is the code I tried but no result.

Hi All,

In client server application, normally the client talks to the server and gets results.
I want to know how the server can talk back to the client - i know msmq
is one solution - but is there any other solution - how can my server application
can send its latest update to all its client that are connected to it.
say, update the client's user interface from time to time..is there any workaround related code that will keep track of the clients?

You can't do this in web applications. It uses disconnected architecture. A server can only responds to requests it gets. So in web applications, your best bet is to use AJAX. Your page should give periodic requests to server to get the latest updates.

Thanks for the reply.
Then according to you ,either one has to use a kind of timer ,so that a request can be ping to server after a certian peroid of time.But in gmail for any other chat based web application,how do server send a response to a client ?
Example:
"A" want to chat to "B",then it "A" send a request to server and then server send response to "B" means server is broadcasting a response to "B" without "B" making a request to server?

Any Idea for that ?

guys i am facing a problem, my session time out is set to 2 hours in web.config, my session mode is out of process, but on live users session becomes null before that, i have been monitoring that throuigh the log, i know that in web.config you have to specify the session time out in minutes, kindly reply ASAP, thankx in advance.

Session gets killed on a number of reasons. Was there a timestamp change on web.config?

no there was no time stamp change in web.config,and no change was made in web.config wither if the change would have been made then it should not kill the session as session mode is out of process, what do you say about it ?

In Javascript i m selecting from date in calendar pop up ,after selecting from date the to date calandar pop up should be increment by 1 day.I m getting error in while i selecting from date as august 2008 7 that is 08/07/2008 the to date calandar popup showing

When i select August 2008 7th,september,october and november in from date calandar popup,in to date calandar popup its getting selected December 2007 8th.

I guess this means your third party calendar control needs to be configured for non US data format ?

I've a div that displays some information but whenever i click on my submit button then this div becomes disappear but i still want to display it. And also i've set runat="server" at my div and following code in my
.cs file but it is throwing an error oject required

Well, calling find control and assuming it doesn't return null, is always a bug.

You can just use divIP1.Style["display"] = "block"; if it's a server control.

Well, that is plain not going to work anyhow, because attributes are case sensitive.

But, I would expect it to work otherwise. Not that I ever do this, there is obviously a wrinkle I don't know about. Did you try using a Panel or PlaceHolder instead of your div ?
