Amusingly, this is the exact question that is asked here so often that it caused me to write this[^] tutorial.

There's no such control as 'createwizard'. Do you mean CreateUserWizard? Please try and be accurate with the information in your messages, otherwise no one will understand what you are talking about?
What details are you referring to?

You can't create a website using the createwizard control.
You can, however, create a webpage, which resides in a website, that has a wizard control on it.

Getting answers depends on you giving accurate information and details.

Very sorry for the lack of information. Thanks for your patience. Yes i was refering to the createuserwizard. When users register, their information is stored in the members db. How can i get them to edit information they used to sign up. ie their email address.
Many thanks

i have searched the internet high and low for a solution to this, but no one seems to have the answer without paying $$$$ for a control. there has to be SOME way to do it. i just want my user to pick from a dropdown list of flag icons and be able to grab that value.
anyone?

Why? Presumably you want the user to pick a country from a list. If so, why not just display a list of country names? This is what every other website I have seen does. Why make things unnecessarily complicated?

you presume incorrectly. not flags as in country flags. flags as in state of progress flags. i would like to keep the footprint of the control to a minimum and integrate an already-existing colored-flag system on my backend.

You should have explained this in the first place. My assumption was reasonable.
You can't display images with the HTML SELECT tag, which is what an ASP.NET DropDownList control renders as. You would have to purchase a 3rd party component.

Is there anyway to connect local computer database such as MDB or SQL express from ASP.NET application? Please let me know.
|
|
|

Just establish a connection to your database as you would to any other.
connectionstrings.com[^] has plenty of connection string examples for both Access and SQL Express databases.

I have no idea what you are talking about here.
All the information you need in order to connect to the databases you mention can be found in the link I previously sent you and by reading the MSDN documentation.

ASP.NET is server-based technology. You can not connect to a database on the client machine.
You can, using the proper connection string, connect to a remote system. Given the proper permissions of course. Do some research on database connections.

Marking your posts as *** urgent *** will pretty much guarantee you get ignored.
Everyone's post is urgent. However, seeing as you aren't paying anyone for their help you should be prepared to wait.

Respond to the click events raised by the previous/next button controls, fetch the previous/next record details from your database and populate the textboxes with the appropriate values.
This is pretty basic stuff. If you have no idea how to accomplish this, I suggest you purchase a beginner's ASP.NET book and read through it.

Hi,
the gridview has an OnRowDataBound event. In that event you can do your thing like:
Int32 Total = 0;
Int32 ValueCol1 = 0;
Int32 ValueCol2 = 0;
Int32 Together = 0;
if (e.Row.RowType.Equals(DataControlRowType.DataRow))
{
try
{
DataTable tabel = (DataTable)myGridView.DataSource;
ValueCol1 = Convert.ToInt32(tabel.Rows[e.Row.RowIndex].ItemArray[0]);
ValueCol2 = Convert.ToInt32(tabel.Rows[e.Row.RowIndex].ItemArray[1]);
Together = ValueCol1 * ValueCol2;
Total += Together;
}
catch (Exception err)
{
lblError.Text = err.Message;
}
}
if (e.Row.RowType.Equals(DataControlRowType.Footer))
{
e.Row.Cells[2].Text = Total.ToString();
}
for: ValueCol1 = Convert.ToInt32(tabel.Rows[e.Row.RowIndex].ItemArray[0]);
find the appropriate field in the ItemArray. Field[0] is the first displayed field
