i am using formview in my application for displaying header records( 6 rows are there) . i given paging .while running page is coming with first record . if i click next its going to next record but i want directly it should go to 4th record if i given 4 to textbox placed in same page

I have a web application that i want my friends be able to access from the internet.
I can access this in my network, but dont know how to make it available on the net.
It might sound really amature to a lot of people but i dont know this.
I have heared that we need to put the contents on global ip. ok, what does that mean??

No you can't because this would constitute a serious security breach if you could. Why would you want to anyway? If the user has chosen to block popups, then why do you think you have the right to try to turn it off.

Hi all
I need to send a clickable link by mail to a user
I am able to send the amil with the link, but i had to generate the url like:
"http://" & Request.Url.Host & ResolveUrl("MyPage.aspx")
Is there an easier and better way to get the whole url for any resource on my site?

I am working on a project in visual studio 2005 and am getting the following errors:
1) template.master cannot be processed because the code directory has not yet been built. I get this error when going to an .aspx file. I do have the template.master file in the root directory.
2) A skinID has been specified but the page is not configured to use a page theme or style sheet theme. Under app_theme I have a folder named basic which has 2 files(basic.skin and default.css)
Please Help!

One thing that causes this message, and is easy to fix, is the omission of a particular SkinID from a theme set.
If you are using one theme, and you add a skin to the Controls.skins file, and then use it on a control, and then switch themes, you would expect to get a message like "This skin is not defined" or some such.
Instead, you get "the page is not configured to use a page them" etc etc etc.
One way to tell that this might be the case is to look at another control on the same page that also uses a skin. If you do not have that underline and the error message, then clearly the page actually is configured to use themes and skins. Just copy the skin from Controls.skins in the one theme to any other themes in APP_Themes directory.

I'm not sure just yet what is causing this problem for both of us but, I can tell you as soon as i deleted the web.config file it went away. this leads me to believe it's somewhere in the web.config. good luck to both of us. when I find out more i'll post it. later gator

I am creating mdb file using ASP.Net.
it gives error that unrecognised database format and path of that mdb file.
Here is the code.

Access_Conn.Open()
When Access_Conn.Open() get executed then the error comes.

Well, this is going to create an empty file, why on earth do you think that represents a valid database ?

I am creating mdb file and then I am transfering data from SQL Server to mdb file. I am creating table in that mdb file.
But while accessing the new created mdb file as database file it gives the above error.

You have created an empty file with extension .MDB. But your file is not in MDB format, just extension. AFAIK, you can't create a MDB file if you don't know it's format.

It looks like you are embedding sSite in your onClickEvent instead of the content of sSite
Im not sure if im missing something but try concatenation like:
dim url as string = "fhjsdhfjkdhfkjshd" & sSite & "fdfdsfdsfsf"

I am using .net to send email in an application, however im getting the following error:
"The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first u1sm554149uge.14 "
