Session state has created a session id, but cannot save it because the response was already flushed by the application.
I have a big problem with this error.
Few days ago, web app worked fine and when session expired and I refreshed the page, code inside Session_Start in global.asax logs me in again.

Yesterday I can't login by refreshing the page, any more.
If I login manually, everything is ok. Error raises only when session expires and user refreshes the page.
When I try to step in AutoLogin function, try catch block catches the Object reference error before debugger was able to step into a function.
The above error I caught in Application_Error in global.asax.
I have searched the net for solution, but with no luck.
Most of the answers were that you shouldn't use Response.Flush and I have Response.Flush only in captcha class which is loaded on login.aspx page and everything worked great until yesterday.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

I have an app that access a txt file on another server, and it passes the name of that file to a sp on a separate db server. I've got impersonation in place, but am confused on how to set it up.
I have three separate servers that I am dealing with, one is where the txt file is located, one where the db is located, and one where the app is located. I've set up windows users on the txt file server, and one on the db server. I've assigned permission to the txt file for that win user, and then I've assigned a login for the db for that win user, now which of these do I add to my impersonate username section?

Dear all,
I am trying to find some info on the net about a simple content management system which I would like to implement for experimentation purposes.
Unfortunately i am find a lot of information on how to handle article updates, news updates, membership updates etc.., but I am not finding information about how to deal with multiple pages creation and how these multiple pages that are created dynamically by the end user are handled in the database along with templates etc...
Can anyone suggest any apparoches that are normally taken in order to achieve this..or may be even suggest a good article that I may have missed.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'multiple page creation'. Your data lives in your DB and ASP.NET is going to generate each page, one at a time, as would make sense for a stateless system like HTTP.
If your data exists across multiple pages or not, shouldn't really change the DB - the database schema should not be driven by the UI.

What I means was the facility for the user to add a new page on the website.
What is the approach that cms usually take in order to accomplish this?

Oh - I see. So the content being managed, is a website ? The CMS is, in fact, a system for building web sites, which are live at the point of creation ?

Yes exactly that is what I want.
So the cms will be responsible for management of the content of the website. But apart from the normal facilities such as news adding, article updates , polls etc, I woul like the facility to allow the user to add a whole page to the website.
I would like a suggestion of how this can be achieved. What approches are usually taken? Should the application store the html of the new pages created by the user in a database and then link the page with an id corresponding to the content? Any suggestions?

I guess you'd have to save your pages as HTML, yes, and then store the filepath along with your other info in the DB. In this case, instead of the system building data into an existing template, you'd need to build templates that can be dropped in to a page, or you'd need to simply offer a HTML editor.

An asp page doesn't run unless someone is requesting it, so an asp application is not really suitable for scheduling.
Do you really have to run the code every hour, even if noone is watching the page? Can't you just check how long it was since the information was last updated, and fetch new information if it's older than one hour?
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

You can't do this with ASP.NET, but you could do it in C#. Yes, there will be limitations, not sure what tho, I'm sure they are similar.

I have been using the asp.net treeview control but I am having trouble.
I have set level styles for each level of the treeview which has images for expanded and collapsed nodes.
The lowest level node displays no images which I would expect but it also displays the nodes with larger spacing between them.
Could someone provide a solution as to how I can control this spacing.

My Scenario is
I've got two controls TextBox and DropDownlist. I want to validate these as
If Textbox is empty then you must select a valued from dropdown list , if text box is not empty then its up to user weather he/she wants to select a value from dropdownlist or not.
Can I validate using Validation controls? If yes then how ?
Any example or source code will be appreciated.

You probably will not be able to achieve this using validation controls becuase they can be used against only one control.
