i m able to send the mail...but i want to use variables to replace the name address etc to send mail more than 1 user but the matter is same.....and want to use symbols like smiley...so that if user click on name it inserts the name symbol in the body ....please help me

string.Replace, I guess. As in, have your general email and then use string.Replace to find things like $name and replace them with values.

i have done that but i dont want that user should type $Name,$Address,$Phone... i want to use this thing like when (s)he press on name(like smiley) $Name should be inserted in the body ....and same for address,phone,email...please help me to do like that

OK, so you need to write javascript that inserts the $Name, etc, at the press of a button. Actually, if you look at the javascript that this site uses to insert smileys, etc, it would probably help you a lot.

Yes. You asked for "please tell me the name of such site...from where i can get the help... ". As Christian told, look at the post message page in this site(CP). Take page source and check how smiley and other tags are inserted into the editor.

Are you able to find InsertText() method in the page source ? I guess that's the one which is inserting the tags.

ya InsertText() method is a javascript method which is working for all these things...i read that..but because i m not so much comfortable in javascript so i didn't understand that....if u'll please explain the working of that method i m sure i 'll be able to use that functionality in my page...please

You need to place the text to be inserted in buttons. Call the InsertText method in the OnClick event. Pass text to be inserted as parameter to this method. Inside this methiod, find your control using document.getElementById() and assign the value to control.

Hi All,
I have created an WCF windows service. The service works fine when the service account is set to local system. But I want to access the service running in machine A, from machine B in the same network. I tried changing the service account to Network service in machine A. But I am not able to run the windows service with service account set to "Network Service". Can any one provide me the solution for this?

I have developed crystal reports in VS 2005 Asp.Net, all reports are working fine but if report have huge data contains around 20 or 30 pages getting subject exception.
I am getting exception on following code to export report in pdf format.
oRpt.ExportToHttpResponse(ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat, Response, false, "");
Any idea please.

When filtering a text field using a parameter from the querystring or a control with a "like" condition, "%" as a default value for the parameter will return all the rows in the datatable (In design time with no code)
How can i get all the rows when no parameter is specified for a query filtered by a numeric field? (In design time with no code)

i also did the same for crystal report genration hope this will help you in your purpose also.
define a string and asign the blank in it by default.
The use the sqlquery for data source like: -
<br />
Select * from table {Parameter}<br />
so now pass the string as parameter if the string in "" then it will retrive all the records else if the string is some condition like: -
<br />
str=where name like %a%<br />
then it will retrive the filter records.

i was surprise when i knew O/R mapping in VS2005.
then i used it in my project, it's company inner website for view document, discuss, sharing sth(like blog) and so on.
everything looked good until i modified database structure,
the VS IDE doesn't have a tool to synchronous the database and the objects.
i had to updated all methods refer to modified tables.
the second troublesome is the name of O/R mapped objects. if you have a table 'table1' then you will have a dozen of long name objects, like 'table1DataTable' 'table1Row' 'table1DataAdapter'... even if i know it can be modified. but i don't want to modify it manually...
LINQ sounds a good O/R mapping way to replace old in VS2005. what's your opinion about this?

Hello,
I have been banging my head against the wall and google-ing to find the answer. Either I am not looking for the right phrase or there is something simple that I don't understand.
I have a Generic List(Of T) that I am using to feed a GridView control. I can get the data into the Gridview with no problem, however, I cannot get the rows to show in the proper order (they are basically in reverse order) and I cannot get the sorting function of the gridview to work. For the sorting, I have AllowSorting = True, and I have a method set up to handle the event when it fires. I see the "javascript _doPostBack" line in the status bar of the browser when I try to click on the sorting. Clicking on one of the headers gives no response...it doesn't even act like it is trying to do anything.
I would put more in here, but I am not sure exactly what you would need, if anything, to help me find the answer.

Does the sorting event fire ? What happens in there ? Is your list being resorted ? Have you checked that the order of the list is as you expect ?

I am not sure if it does fire. I am having to run my test application on a remote server that has access to the data...so I can't do inline de-bugging (or at least, if I can, I don't know how to).
The list is not being re-sorted that I can tell. It doesn't even look like it refreshes the screen.
The only other thing I have running on this page is an auto-refresh feature. I am trying to get that to be a user-selectable refresh time. That isn't working either, but that is a topic for another post. I added that here as I am not sure if that might be interfereding somehow.
