Its very simple... just add a button column with command name="select"
and then write ur code in the selected index changed event...

Is the data for exporting to Excel is available in a dataset? Then it is possible to export. Download this dll and use.Only two lines of code required.

in page load i am binding data to gridview control . i have button in that same page while clicking this button i want that

grid view data to be downloaded to the client side in .txt format . now i did how to convert that gridview data to txt format .

but it saving in server machine(i gave server.mappath for path) . it should downloadad to client machine . how to do that ?

I have a lot of experience using C#. I want to design a website with roles and users. Im looking for a free pdf book that can get me started, including setting up visual studio (the server) and also how I can use my dasktop pc to run as a server aswell for running the site during development.

If u knw of a good book that covers my problems....

I would look on the web for this sort of info, its bound to be more up to date and wide ranging then one book

I have taken a div to show or hide the calendar in Master Page's content page but it's not working. But if i put the code in the simple web page then that's working .....
And also it's showing a object required error on page

hi,
how i can retrive the selected items from the listbox at a time?
although i change the selectionmode with the multiple.

you will have to put in a for loop i think

count all of those selected from the list

I am having VS 2005. Now I have installed ajax and ajax control toolkit. After this process, I created a new Ajax enabled website. I have added one simple Label Control and TextBox Control inside the Update panel. While running this page I am getting a javascript error message--"Sys is undefined" . Can any one give a solution ?

Note: My application is running on Apache Web Server

i'm not sure off by hand but if you follow a beginners article on the web it might help you if you hgave missed something

couple things:

have you got any ajax controls isside a content tag
is there any ajavscript that is running on your page

Did you notice the mention of an object not found Javascript exception. I think it a safe bet that this isn't being generated by anything else. Roll eyes | :rolleyes:

Do you include a javascript file?
if so
be sure to add

if (typeof(Sys) !== 'undefined') Sys.Application.notifyScriptLoaded();

to your script file.

Couple of quick items.
* Verify that you have a ScriptManager in the of your ASPX.

* Also, veridfy that the web.config has all the needed AJAX references, by comparing it to the default version (typically found here - C:\Program Files\Microsoft ASP.NET\ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Extensions\v1.0.61025\web.config - unless you have 3.5 framework and then the version will be different).

I just reinstalled Ajax. And the error has gone!!!
