whats the meaning of that and how can i resolve that?

A constructor is not a simple Method (it for example no return value) but a OPERATOR. So try

But as already said: it's hard to tell without knowing the oCustomTask (is it a class with subclass Transformations? Or is it a Namespace?) and DTS.Transformation2.

I can't get my sub main() to execute. I tried it in the main form and, as suggested by another user, in a module. The console.writeline never executes in either place. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

You have to set the entry-point in your project-settings. Normaly this points to the main-form - but you can set it to the Sub Main.

Well it seems I can only do that if I make the project a console application instead of a windows application. Otherwise sub main is not a choice in the startup dropdown. But I'm not sure what the difference is, or if I really want to do that.

I read in several places that putting a sub main() in your code in vb.net automatically ran that sub main() instead of the default. But that doesn't seem to be happening for me.

In order to specify your own "Sub Main", you have to turn off the "Enable application framework" option directly under the option to pick your startup object.

in my VB6 code the code line is like this
PopupMenu mnuAddDeleteItems
upgrade vizard change it to
PopupMenu(mnuAddDeleteItems)
but
i am getting the error

PopupMenu is custom function?
how can i resolve the issue

You might have to rewrite the code using the ContextMenu class.

You will have to add a ContextMenuStrip to the form from the toolbox (in the formular designer).
Then you can use the .Show method of this object to show the context menu.
But you will have to map the Click-events yourself and will have to add the menu-items to the ContextMenuStrip first - but this is more or less the same that it used to be in VB6-days (well the menu-editor is gone but you can use some simple WYSIWYG editor directly in the form-designer)

I know its a FAQ but i have searched google but nothing seems to be helpful for me.
In my application there is two part one is sending mail which i have done successfully n sencond is retriving mail.
I wanna know the best way to do it?

The answer is DON'T.
You are sending via SMTP right? This is no problem because ever mailserver in you buisness will have a virtual SMTP port or something similar - but normaly it won't have POP3 caps.
And writing your own POP3 server .... you won't like this.
So if you really want to receive eMail with your own code you might want to use the exchange-SDK or something similar to directly access the users-mail account - or (and this is much simpler) rewrite your software as an office-plugin.

What do you mean by 'Vista like'. Do you mean when on vista, or even on XP ? If the latter, if you want it to look like Vista on XP, then you need to create custom controls to get that look.
