My requirement is
I take a image of a vehicle number plate through a web cam or a usb camera.
Now when i get the image when i click a button i should get the numberplate number into a text box I need this functionality using c# or vb.net plz help me i am doing my B.tech final year project, I would be very much thank full if any one will help me

I suggest you get some advice from your professor, that's his job. If this is your final project and you have a choice to switch, I suggest you do that. This is going to be a pretty tough project to undertake. If you choose to continue, good luck. Remember, google is your friend. If you have specific questions or problem areas, ask here.

You will need to look into Optical Character Recognition (OCR).

There is a better way to do it, I am sure. And perhaps someone else will also answer your question with this better solution, but here is the one that I remember using once:

Hi,
I have a datagridview control in which I populate data from a data table.When I click on the coloumn header of the gridview control,then the data which are displayed are sorted in the reverse order on which it was originally diaplayed.
Issue:Now I want that the data should not be sorted when ever I click on any of the coloumn headers of the data gridview i.e I want all the coloumn headers of the gridview controls should be read only irrespective of clicking on it.When I will click on the gridview column header no actions should not be there in th gridview.
Please help me out in this issue.Its very urgent.

Thanks a lot for the quick response.
I have a requirement that when even I checked on certain data items in the gridview(GV) then the color must be changed (which i did),but now the problem is that when I click on any of the coloumn headers,the colors of the items which I had checked got vanished and the data is shown in the GV as fresh data as if no items have been checked.
Please let me know how to prevent the color change when somebody clicks on any of the coloumn headers of the GV..?

Handle the DragDrop event. Then get the text of the dropped item, and do a listBox.Items.Add(someItem);. Also, don't re-post questions, it's very rude. You asked this same question 2 days ago. You need to be patient, be prepared to wait up to a week. After that, then you may repost. Additionally, someone posted a response, with full, working source code. Instead of posting again, why not ask the guy who responded to you yesterday your more detailed questions.
Moving onto your apparent laziness. Why have you not posted what you have tried to get the thing working? This is a help forum. We won't do your work or hold your hand and explain every last little bit in detail. You need to come up with a list of what you have tried, what works and what doesn't. Then, you need to post the code where the problem is occuring. Not some generic ass question that google could give you 1,000,000 million responses for in 5 seconds. Lazy ass.

When i tried to translate the code with vb express edition it make it like this:

And it's not workin properly with that.
Can anybody tell me what is wrong with this?

I just tried this out, but I don't know what the ChrW function is supposed to do, I don't know what the result should be, I can't say whether it works properly or not. Could you give an example of the input and accordingly the expected output?
Here is the code I tried, which gave the result: "¼Þ"

The translation of the VB6 code is as bad as the VB6 code is, and the VB6 code isn't very good to start with.
Suffixes like $ aren't used for variables any more. That is an old artifact from the time when variables in BASIC were not declared with a type.
Instead of putting together a string that can be identified by the Val function, you should use the Int32.Parse method and specify how you want to parse the string:
Int32.Parse(c2.Substring(pos, 2), NumberStyles.AllowHexSpecifier)
Then convert the number to a char:
Convert.ToChar(Int32.Parse(c2.Substring(pos, 2), NumberStyles.AllowHexSpecifier))
So:
For pos As Integer = 0 To 11 Step 2
cmd += Convert.ToChar(Int32.Parse(c2.Substring(pos, 2), NumberStyles.AllowHexSpecifier))
