I am sending mails to group of people at a time .
if some of the mailids are not correct how to find out that id for further processing.
like:
nicevirendra@rediffmail.com is Valid
a@a.asasa is Invalid How i Find This is....!

You can, at best, perform only syntax level validations. If you really want extremely good impeccable email addresses, you need to send a probing email asking the user to click a link and confirm.
However, you can check out http://www.hexillion.com/[^]. They have something called EmailDossier. That should help you. Again, it depends on SMTP commands like VRFY, EXPN etc which most of the current SMTP servers might disable for spam-control and security reasons.

hi there,
i seached on your post. But most of the people using Regex (Regular Expressions) for matching all the Email ID's but how to deal with illegal domain names as you given as a@a.asasa in this after the @ sign one cannot predict which domain is right. As we know there are more than thousand domain names also lots of new domain are existing but we don't know. So, According to me make list of relevant domain names which is relevant to your application.

You could use regular expressions.

Use regular expression validator on the page.
e.g.

Google for more regular expression, you will find bunch of regular expression to validate domain name too.

In ASP.NET there are a couple of login controls. You can configure access to your site using ASP.NET Configuration tool, which keeps the role/membership data in aspnetdb.mdf by default.
How to change this? I mean, how to point to other database? Other than App_Data/aspnetdb.mdf.

Use the aspnet_regsql command line utility (in your .NET framework installation folder) to generate the Membership/Role/Profile API database objects in your own database. Then change your web.config elements for these APIs to point to that database. I suggest you read the MSDN documentation or this excellent article[^] if you require further information.

But when i press "Enter" button then it throws me on the Home Page but it must throw alert message to fill these fields.................

i want to display groups and their corresponding children on a aspx page,this is however done,but i further want to display the path starting from the root of the group selected.and when i click on any groupname in the path the page should get reloaded with the particular information.plz help.can i do it using html tags generated dynamically or if their is any other way kindly suggest.i am using ASP.NET 2.0.

Sincere request to give a solution to my problem. I will explain in detail.
I have an application in ASP.Net, Sybase which was running very fine in windows 2000 server.
Recently i migrated it to a windows 2003/IIS6.0 server.
After the migration one of the pages is having an error
I'm trying to insert a byte[] data to sybase with Column datatype TEXT. I get this error:
Sybase.Data.AseClient.AseException: Operand type clash: IMAGE is incompatible with TEXT
This is the function which does this.

HI
I am new to this forum. I have a problem in text box that is in table.We are using the length of that textbox in %.
When a long data is coming inside the textbox the length is increasing.If we are using px,then the length is not increasing according to resolution.That means it is fixed.Also we used overflow as hidden.it is not working perfectly.I am giving my code plz have a look on it.

in asp when i delete an image in folder it cannot deleted bcs ,When i upload an image in database, it save with extension .jpg and in folder it save with extension .JPEG. At the deletion time the database image not compact with folder image.that is why the image not deleted.i think
so I want to save image in database with extension .JPEG. how can i do this.If any one know this pls tell me.I am new in asp

Hi, I have a dropdownlist and a Imagebutton in my page contain reset image.
The dropdownlist contains value one,two,three,four,five
When i come to this page the dropdownlist contains "three" as selected value. when i change the value in dropdown to "five", and then click on that imagebutton, need to reset the value from five to three. This all occur in javascript onluy. I want code for this in javascript......
can any one help on this?
