I want to set "eof", "error", "break" and "event" chars for serial port communication, but did not find any setters or properties in the System.IO.SerialPort class. I also searched the web but havent found an answer yet.
Hopefully anyone knows how to do this!

Some of it can be found in the available documentation:
- SerialPort.ReadLine() reads text up to the next occurence of SerialPort.NewLine
(warning: SerialPort.NewLine will also be emitted when calling SerialPort.WriteLine).
- The PinChanged event is raised when a SerialPort object enters the BreakState.
I have never heard of an "event" char.
I am unaware of any explicit support of the ASCII EOF character.

i have written a program to convert the XML file into the DATAGRID view using C#.
Now i need a help regarding..
when we change the values in DataGrid it shloud reflect the XML also..

I have a video blender application which uses 3vix MP4 codecs and DirectShow. In the project I need a P/Invoke call like private static extern int GetRunningObjectTable(int r, out IRunningObjectTable pprot);. This is in ole32.dll. Now I am converting this project to MONO, and I analyzed this with MOMA. But it is showing P/Invoke can't be added to MONO. Anybody knows any workaround for this issue ? I have tried installing ANTS PInvoke.NET and checked for any managed code exist.But it given me no results. Any help would be appreciated.

I have read somewhere that you can make P/Invoke work on MONO using wine[^] but I haven't tried it myself.

In fact, if you write an app that has a web browser control, it will get events for any web browser on the PC, so you could log it that way.

Hey Razana. YOu need to specify what version of C# you're using. But, you'd do better to type it directly into google. There are tons of examples on this on the web. Of course, without a server, you can't send mail, it's not possible.

Gee - did it occur to you to read the comments and put a real mail server in there ? Like I said, you cannot send mail without a server.

Have a chat with your mail server administrators to ensure you have the correct mail server name and port. Also check that traffic on this port is not blocked from PCs in your organisation. Where I work, I cannot connect to the SMTP server from my PC, I have to use a development server when I want to test the sending of emails.

I have a Custom Control Listbox L1 and a panel P1. I need to handle Mouse Wheel movement on Panel P1 without giving it focus. I cannot use MouseWheel Event as it fires ONLY when the underlying control has focus.
Any suggestions?

I guess you need to catch the event where you have focus and pass it to your control.

Hi, One of my controls is a Custom ListBox L1 which handles MouseWheel Events for itself so I cannot intercept its mouse wheel events and use it. Also this does not look & feel elegant. Also I have few Push Buttons and I dont want to handle their mouse wheel events...

Well, if mouse wheel events only get sent to the control that has the focus ( as all mouse events do ), the only other solution I can think of is if there's an API you can call to get the wheel pos, on a timer. That's not elegant, it's ugly. And, I don't think it works, from memory, the mouse wheel events pass a number that tells you the direction the mouse moved in and how fast, not a number that defines a finite position.

Hi
I have a requirement to get the Word Document as BLOB(Binary Large OBject) and send this value to Message Queue and also save it back to another Word Document with another name.
The problem is I am not getting the Data correctly into a string and while saving it back to Queue or Word Document, the data is coming as some encoded characters.
Somebody please help me in solving this. If possible please give me a sample code in C#.
