Hi,
I am using one web services from http://srch.in/srchWS/Srch.asmx this place
My code is
srch.Srch t = new srch.Srch();
srch.SearchResults srchrslt = new srch.SearchResults();
//srchrslt = t.GetSearchResults("test", "test", txtitem.Text.Trim(), txtlocation.Text.Trim(), 0, 100);
srchrslt = t.GetSearchResults_soap(txtitem.Text.Trim(), txtlocation.Text.Trim(), 1, 1);
i am passing value from two diff text box and I am getting one error message like
'Server was unable to process request. --> Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'
I know it's a server configuration problem may be but how to solve this problem If u know help me please

I created one website with the same webservice settings and was able to make it work.
The best thing to check this would be to debug which instance is currently null.
Also, let us know which line of code is throwing this error?

I am passing it properly and hardcoded just my changed code is

hi,
well I havent done anything like that but I think ASP .net doesnt have anything to do with writing a file on CD. I dont know ur requirements but may be u need to upload a file from asp.net and then write it on CD.
I suggest u should discuss the issue of writing on CD thru C# or VB .net (whatever ur using) on the appropriate forum

There is a library called XPBurn. It will work to burn CDs on the server. You can't burn a CD from a web app, on the client end.

Oh yes you can - either through ActiveX, or through the use of User Control embedded in IE!

If your button_click has a postback than its better to hide the panel during postback, rather than using javascript.

First of all, if it's an ASP.NET control, then the name of the control on the client is not the name on the server, you need to write the name using the server controls 'ClientID' property. Then you can use code like the above, assuming that pnlColumn is a variable that holds the client side Id, and that you put 'none' in quotes.

Both of you can divide the project amongst yourself and then merge the web forms in the application manually.
Steps to follow-
1. Build the webforms.
2. Copy all the webforms & classes which was coded by your friend on your PC in the project folder .
3. Open the solution (.sln) file. Right-click in solution explorer and select "Include In Project". Compile the project.
Your application is built for release.

In my project, I used to use SVN for that.
As Sun Rays suggested, you can also use Visual SourceSafe. VSS 2005 supports web access too..

You can also download Araxis trial version and use that tool to merge your changes. It enables line by line comparison of two files and allows you to insert or delete lines from one file to another.

Hi
I make a user control like tree.ascx which contains a tree view control. Now I place the user control “tree.ascx” on Default.aspx”.
Now, I want to display an alert message when user clicks on the tree view.
I am facing problems:-
• How to find user Control Id (“tree.ascx”) on default page using JavaScript
• How to find tree view control id in default.aspx using java script;
• And how to show alert message when user click on any node of tree view using JavaScript?

Hi,
I have one master page and one default.aspx page inherted from master page.
Now My Default page has 10 TextBox controls with ID's 'Textbox1','Textbox2',.......'Textbox10' and one Button.
In th button click event I want to catch these textboxes dynamically like
for(int i=1;i<=10;i++)
{
(TextBox) txt = (TextBox)FindControl("TextBox"+i);
}
I saw the viewsource all controlId's are replaced like "ctl00_CphAdmin_TextBox1".
even I tried like
for(int i=1;i<=10;i++)
{
(TextBox) txt = (TextBox)FindControl("ctl00_CphAdmin_TextBox"+i);
}
But not worked .........can any body help me the way to acheive this.

Hi,
if your textboxes are in any other control like panel then you have to search panel first and then you have to search textboxes in panel.
Else here,
