i finished from implement a class its name ValidationApplicationBlock.css and it has some property to make custom validation on some controls in web page its name ValidationApplicationBlock.aspx also i used Validator Attributes in my implementation for this task instead of using enterprise library configuration tools.because it does the same work but with visual tool so i prefer to make my custom validation with Validator Attributes,but you should to set property (sourcetypename) in web form to define the control to its property and Validator Attributes i try to do that more then one time and change the path for ValidationapplicationBlock.css to define it to web form but no result so please help me

hi all,
hi problem as follows,
previously we are using to upload the documents inside the virtual folder only . now client want to crate the folder out of virtual directory .i am able to create the directory .but unable to retrieve the files from that directory .i am using grid view in item template using the hyper link binding the physical path to it. but it is not opening the file and not giving any error also .
Please help me in this .if u have any reference links please let me know i am trying in Google unable to find the proper solution. please help in this.

Hi,
do you set this ?
you must have use templatefield and in that you have added hyperlink.
Now in the navigate URL pass full path of file.
like http://servername/foldername/filename.ext
And debug what file name you are passing in hyperlink.

i couldnt find the Report Item tab in the toolbox dats needed for my report.rdlc design....

i want on butttonclick event all data transfer in excel and save it.
in my code when i click on btnSaveToExcel button that time one dialogbox open wheh ask you want to save file in .exe . if yes click then file saved on desktop or whtever path.but when you want to open it that time excel open but there one popupbox comming which have message unable to read file.

Where is the file coming from ? Is the file created on the server and then sent to the client ? Does the file exist as you expect ? Are you sure it will exist on the server, not the client, when this is deployed ?

I can think of two ways to put your data into excel file...
1.) Use com object.Add reference to microsoft office and use namespace microsoft.office.interop.excel;
then create ur workbook, worksheet and put all the data one by one in a forloop.
Export To Excel[^]
Export to excel.[^]
2.) Another and very interesting way of doing it use xsl transformation.wot u need to do is just get xml from dataset and then apply xsl on the same and create ur excel sheet.Lemme knw if u r interested...

i have a windows control which is to be loaded on a webpage(.aspx page)
control is loaded with the aid of "object" tag
the control is developed in C#.net(managed code basically)
the control makes use of the system resources and even makes use of some other dll's too
problem:
the control fails to load on the webpage
first solution tried:
change the .net security with the aid of caspol
so i tried giving full trust to all code
this worked fine and the control got loaded.
however this worked fine only when the webpage was a part of the default website in IIS
in case if the webpage which hosts the control is a part of a virtual website apart from the default website
the control is failing to load
so what might be the problem...??
from some of the blogs which i read...the .net tries to give trust
to assemblies based on from where the assembly is getting streamed
so i also tried to load the control by making this site a trusted one
still the control didn't load
any idea...as to might b wrong....

Hi! ALL
I m generating Crystal Reports by Push method (via DataSet);
but while executing it display a message & four fields in which two are editable & two are uneditable as following
report further inofmration.
Dataset name;
Server name : DataSet name;
DataBase name ..uneditable
User ID ..
Password ...
All these are requested when generating reports with pull method nevertheless I passed all these in ConnectionInfo to TableLogOnInfo.
so how i tackle this.
Any suggestion regarding this will be anticipated.

The solution of above problem is:

CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource= report;

That's way i achieve the task.
