Hi,
As suggested by other other fellows, have a counter in authentication procedure/routine, count for invalid tries, and if the count reaches 3, change the ULock to 0. You can even add a column for the total number of times the account ws locked in the same column. Just an idea!

I wil just tell u the Procedure to be done.
1.Initailly the default value of ULock will be 1.
2. Declare a variable WrongPwdCount=0;
3.Check the status of the ULock
if ULock==0
Display the Message as " Your account is locked"
else
WrongPwdCount++;
4. if WrongPwdCount==3
Change the ULock=0
else
Do a successful login
Let me know if this works....
Otherwise Let me send a code for the same

But I would like to find when is the reference resolved really at runtime or compile time. We say a simple function call is resolved at compile time and something complex with inheritance is resolved at run time. How can I really see it or make sure that how its done. Is there any way to find it with reflection libraries. If yes give me some examples.

I have a class, ImageLoad which receives a stringPath where I have stored the encrypted images. I would like to know if it is possible to know if the file has been modified before decrypting it? I'm trying to void getting the exception bad data just because someone added a .crip file [file extension I'm using], to the working folder or modified any file extension to .crip and if it happens I get the exception how can I close the application without getting another exception?

The way I detach databases is by going to sql server, selecting the database I want to detach, left click on it and select task and then detach. If VS2005, the one I use, is open and it is connected to the database I want to detach I close VS2005 and the detach the database.

Use this to check if the database is in use by any process:
SELECT * FROM sysprocesses WHERE dbid = db_id('" + Put_Database_Name_Here + "');
If it returned zero rows, you are set to detach it, if not then use:
string spid;
foreach (DataRow xyz in datatable.Rows)

spid = dr["spid"].ToString();
execute: "KILL " + spid;
}
after that, execute
EXEC sp_detach_db @dbname='" + Put_Database_Name_Here + "';
Use (preferably)
ExecuteNonQuery();
Then close the connection.

So change the display format. How are you rendering it now ? DateTime never renders like that, AFAIK.

are you using DateTimePicker? if yes
then change it "Format" property to 'Custom'
and in "CustomFormat" property enter your format like "dd-MM-yy"

I am attempting to write my own flood fill algorithm, but it is proving to be pretty slow. I am wondering if anyone has an idea on how I can improve performance. Currently, I am using the 4-way non-recursive scanline algorithm, based on a Queue<Point>. I am using the WinAPI methods CreateCompatibleDC, GetPixel, SetPixel, and BitBlt. I have a feeling that if I can copy the bitmap to a byte array, then modify that array directly, then return the array to the bitmap, I can get better performance. Does anyone know how to do this, or have any other ideas as to how I can improve the following code? Yep, that pointer implementation worked nicely. I now have four working implementations... One is with the built in GetPixel and SetPixel methods (excruciatingly slow), the second uses Win API GetPixel and SetPixel methods (as in the first post of this thread) (pretty slow), the third uses the LockBits method on the Bitmap, then I use Marshal.ReadInt32 and Marshal.WriteInt32 to modify the bitmap directly without using pointers (pretty fast), and the final way is to use int pointers and the LockBits method (blazingly fast!) The most unbeleivable part is that the pointer method is faster than the Win API ExtFloodFill method, and I even have WAY more control over how the fill is done (allowing near-matches in addition to exact matches). Thanks for the input!

for this I would stay clear from images if at all possible; a simple array should do,
you only need empty, border, and one or a few fill values.
As always, I prefer one-dimensional arrays over two-dimensional ones
(typically less code, more speed).
