I need to enter the values in that schema with the nodes and get an xml from that.

I understand what you want to do. I was just saying, why do you need to create dummy XML ?

YOu tell me what should i do in this type of scenario
|

I don't know what the scenario is. I asked you why you need dummy XML files to match an XSD, you didn't answer.

This conversation will never stop until you think about the questions and answer it.
P.S.:Reading this Thread amuses me! So goon if you whant!

The reason I keep asking why is, so I can perhaps make an alternative suggestion. Not sure of the reason why you won't tell me.

I am also in need to create xml document from schema. In my application the xsd files vary dynamically according to the user input. So i wish to create sample xml document using the current selected xsd file. Is there any way to do it?

Hi
I have a web-service which is created in VC++ 8, I only have the .wsdl file of that web-service along with some .dll files. For my local pc, i did access the web-service successfully by creating the virtual directory. But when i try to access that web-service from a different pc on the network, i can not access it. I get the connection time-out error, or the page can not be displayed error.
I also shared the folder in which web-service is residing but still this solution couldn't solve my problem.
Can anybody suggest any solution to access that web-service???
Regards

Hello
I want to verify a digital signature which is signed compatible with PPKCS#1 version 2(pss). As far as I have found in Microsoft .NET 2003 (.NET framework 1.1) there are only classes for version 1.5 and I haven't found anything about version 2 in that version. Am I right or not? Does .NET 2005 (.NET framework 2) support this one? If not, could you please help me with what I should do?
Thanks in advance.

How to pass a file name as command line argument in main function?
|
|
|
|
|
If you run your program from the console and type in the filename as in
myprog.exe myfile.xt
it will be passed in

i am NOT running it from console. i have to run it in windows mode. A sample code would help me better.Could u please?
|
|
|
|
|
There is no code to pass the filename, it has to be passed as a parameter. I think it's the same for windows apps. The string collection passed into your static void main contains the arguments. To pass it in, it needs to be an argument when the program is run.
Or do you mean something else ?

Will this get value dashboardid from table into variable 'str'?
int str = "select dashboardid from dashboardlogin where userid=101";
cmd.CommandText = str;
cmd.CommandType = CommandType.Text;
cmd.Connection = conn;
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
dashboardid is 'int' type in database.
but i have error in first line if i use the above code:
Cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'int'.
Do i need to add any other code also for getting its data into variable 'str'?
M new to c#,just learnt connecting database,a student doing project in c#.

I recommend giving up on windows forms and databases, and reading a beginners book on C#. Where did you find this code ? If you can't debug it, you're just going to have more and more trouble if you don't take my advice.
Nekshan wrote: int str
str is of type int.
Nekshan wrote: "select dashboardid from dashboardlogin where userid=101";
this is a string
Nekshan wrote: Cannot implicitly convert type 'string' to 'int'.
That is what the error is telling you.

string str = "select dashboardid from dashboardlogin where userid=101";
Then convert the result to int?
thanx for the advice, i m already refering a book.

Yes, your query is a string
Nekshan wrote: Then convert the result to int?
Yes, you need to get an int back from the DB, you will need to convert this value.

hi ...
you must change your code such as this :
int dashboardid = 10;
string str = "select " + dashboardid.ToString() + " from dashboardlogin where userid=101";
cmd.CommandText = str;
cmd.CommandType = CommandType.Text;
cmd.Connection = conn;
conn.Open();
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
conn.Close();

thank you.
int dashboardid = 10; ???
select query takes dashboardid from database...

you need to read a beginner book as well. This won't work, you're going to end up with select 10 from dashboardlogin where userid=101 10 is not a valid name for a column, and even if it was, this would not do what the OP wants

if you change select query like this , it work correctly
string str = "select [" + dashboardid.ToString() + "] from dashboardlogin where userid=101";
