how do i register asp.net on IIS.???i can access the default page that comes with iis by default (under contruction.....) but not the aspx

yes ASP.NET is definately registered. Do i need to allow access to the specific port in the settings because i have tried absolutely anything and i just cannot connect remotely. thanks

If you are using SQL server.. Please Check remote connection whether it allow remote connections or not... if not then you need to allow the remote connection to access ur site remotly......

When i try to sort, dataview records disappears. I have used AllowSorting="true". When I tried to debug the sorting event is not firing. Can anyone say what is the problem.

try and set viewstate=true for the dataview.

I have set Enableviewstate=true, my paging is working fine. The problem is gvToDoList_Sorting event is not firing when i click header to sort.

Hello
I can create ajax enabled hovermenu control like you see in microsoft.com home page (Highlights-Latest releases-Using your computer-...). But User only can see their contents if move mouse over them.
1)I want to show contetns of one of them by default at the start of website like microsoft.
2)As you see mouse over causes to changing back theme of menues. How can i do this.

Hello guys.... ive a problem with some pictures (gifs) on a asp.net page...
The thing is that im using an imagebutton , so when I declare the button I give it an url image on my project, then if the client clicks on it, it change its image (so at first the image is halt, then after the click change it for a gif animated, so the image on the button begins to move)
The problem is that I have a automatic Javascript refresh every 20 sec, so when the page refresh, the image backs to its original state, to its original image. (halt)… no movement… so ..
Any ideas?? How the imagebutton could keep its image after the refresh….

Save information about the state in a hidden field, so that the code on the server side can pick it up and recreate the image button according to it.

Actually i have placed some images in a single webpage with visible="false" and i need to check it with date and month, if both matches then one image has to be visible and next time when date and month matches it has to show successive(next) image and hide the previous image. working on asp.net 2003 with vb.net

I need to display an image of unknown size (comes from a user supplied URL) in a panel of a fixed size. If the image is small it should appear centered in the panel, if it is larger than the panel, it needs to be scaled to fit. How would I go about doing this?

You can set images with and height to your custum size.
Like this :

I don't want it to be a fixed size. I would like to scale down if needed, but not scale up. I would also like to keep the image height/width ratio.
