Actually i have placed some images in a single webpage with visible="false" and i need to check it with date and month, if both matches then one image has to be visible and next time when date and month matches it has to show successive(next) image and hide the previous image. working on asp.net 2003 with vb.net
Pls help me out.

I need to display an image of unknown size (comes from a user supplied URL) in a panel of a fixed size. If the image is small it should appear centered in the panel, if it is larger than the panel, it needs to be scaled to fit. How would I go about doing this?

You can set images with and height to your custum size.
Like this :
<asp:Image ID="Image1" runat="server" Height="100px" Width="100px" />

I don't want it to be a fixed size. I would like to scale down if needed, but not scale up. I would also like to keep the image height/width ratio.

I desinging a custom control in asp.net. How can i give the descrition of a property as when user select the Property he can see the purpose of the properties.

This is the wrong forum. This should be posted on the sql forum.
Still the answer should be something like:
select sno, productid, brandid from table
where sno = (select max(sno) from table)

I have a weird problem, See the skelton code below, it's in page_load

BindGridView();
}
GridView1.Columns[0].HeaderText = "Bla Bla";
This looks simple, I am not doing any extra logic in BindGridView(). Getting the data and binding it. But it's not changing the header text. But when a postback occurs, header text got changed. What is wrong here, Is gridview having any problem for changing header text immediatly after it is binded ?

You have to give the change text in header before BindGridView().
if(!IsPostBack)
{
GridView1.Columns[0].HeaderText = "Bla Bla";
BindGridView();
}
