Whats the problem in using the state management in your application ,
surely you are not going to use database also ...
one thing could be creating xml file on fly and storing the inforamtion in it but o don't think it is good way of implimentation

use Server.Transfer() instead of Server.Redirect()
The Server.Transfer method also has a second parameter—"preserveForm". If you set this to True, using a statement such as Server.Transfer("WebForm2.aspx", True), the existing query string and any form variables will still be available to the page you are transferring to.
For example, if your WebForm1.aspx has a TextBox control called TextBox1 and you transferred to WebForm2.aspx with the preserveForm parameter set to True, you'd be able to retrieve the value of the original page TextBox control by referencing Request.Form("TextBox1").

I am using this javascript function in asp.net under content place holder. I want that this function fired only Back, Forward and Close Browser Button. But this funciton fired on all button.

Dude i have been saying from yesterday as the whenever you are going to press back,forward,any button and close page unload is going called thats why onbeforeunload event is called before unload event

How it will parse untill you instruct it to do so ? Are you displaying XML tags on an ASPX page ? then <> symbols should be replaced with lt and gt

item1 dropdownlist counting(1 or 2 , it can be any no)
item2 dropdownlist counting

item10 dropdownlist counting
the serial no can go 2 any no.
dropdownlist contains data from the tables realated to the item
how should i implement this thing?

You can bind data in datagrid_rowbound event.
like in this event you will get the value of first cell let us assume it is "item5" now you need to query you DB with that item, after that you can set data source for your dropdownlist.

Ok i put the dropdownlist in gridview .Now i an selecting the particular itme in the dropdiwnlist, and accordingly the counting should be refreshed only in that row.i mean the items that are present in the dropdownlist has an indiivisual value for each item.so how i will be able to update a particular row to check the counting for particular item .i mean item1 contains ten produncts and each product has a indivisual counting.

You need to attach event handlers for this dropdown.

What is your actual requirement ? Do you want the dropdowns to be posted back automatically when it changes ? or do you want to get selected value of dropdown when any button pressed on the same row ?

If you need to do this in server side, you have to make the dropdown's autopost back true and attach an event with that. This can be done easily on client side. You have to write a javascript function that accepts your DropDown id and Label id.
In datagrid's item_databound event, add the javascript attributes to your dropdown.

You have to create SelectedIndexChanged Event of Dropdownlist on RowCreated Event of gridview.
for Example
OnRowCreatedEvent
DropDownList ddl=(DropDownList)e.Rows.Findcontrol("ddlID");
ddl.ID=e.Rows.RowIndex;
ddl.SelectedIndexChanged+=(Press tab 2times);
now On SelectedIndexChanged Event you can easily change corresponding label of Selected Rows
Int index=Convert.ToInt32((DropDownList)Sender).ID);
((Label)GridView1.Rows[index].FindControl("lblID")).Text="Value Changed";
