Hello friends, I am new to vs 2005. I created a site using vs 2005 and sql server 2005. I publish my site locally - it runs, but when i upload it to a web server it gives following error...What went wrong? Can any1 help me?

hi , i have build an ASP.net application using Enterprise library 1.1. Curremtly i was using sql server 2000. Now i have to take my DB to sql server 2005. my question is that my current application will work with SQL server 2005??? Is enterprise library 1.1(june 2005) work well with SQL server 2005????? please reply soon...

You've asked this in two forums. The other one is the right one. What DB you use has nothing to do with ASP.NET. Your app should work fine, but you should run your unit tests to be sure, because there are changes to T-SQL, and you never now for sure.

hi
in one of my webform's project , user can select some choice from a list.
after each select, that item insert into a temp table in my database. and ...
at last ,if user click ok button ,all selected things insert into main table.
if page closed or exit with any reason before user click ok or cancel button , in code temp table must be clear.
my problem is can not find any thing such as an event for times when user exit from the page.
how can recognize in asp.net when user exit from a page ?

In ASP.NET, you can't, but you can write AJAX code that sends a message to the server when the browser is closed, and of course you can integrate this into your ASP.NET project, although it won't use any ASP.NET libraries or code behind ( unless you choose to emit your script in your code behind ).

To handle the Browser close event you will have to write a javascript function that handles it and call the function on the OnBeforeUnload client event.

I'm using ACCESS 2000 and i make a connection to dreamweaver 2004.

We got this error in application.What could be the problem? Is our code is wrong? or We miss something? This error occurs when we try to access sql server..

Dear Sir
I have tried to enter the code myself.I have a manage categories page and a default page. the details view is supposed to show the category id from the manage categories page in a dropdownlist on the default page. i checked and rechecked the foriegn keys, the sqldatasource. ect ect . It just wont do what i need it todo.

My problem is,
I form a string...

... and now I want execute that string. What should I do?

There is no such thing as an Eval function in C#. You should rethink the solution.
You can for example keep an array or a list of the data views that you create, so that you easily can access them by index.

Implement all the necessary classes(styles) that is need for the whole application in a .CSS file(style sheet). Make another copy of the same style sheet with the same classes implemented but with different styles. Now you have two different themes for your application. In the base class, based on some condition you decide which CSS file you application has to refer.

The contents of the IFRAME element can be a aspx or html page. You can't set the source to a UserControl. I suggest you to Place the UserControl in a aspx Page and set the source to that Page.

Hi,
I m using framework 1.1,
Just i want my project don't give the error message of conncetion.......
I have connction problem.
My Conncetion losts everytime, while i m in page that takes more time to fill the informations.
2nd problem is SESSION..
session time?
from where to set a session time..
i want long session time, just like for 45 minutes.
Actually I have set time in Web.config . but i think it is not woking.

In this statement 50 is minutes or seconds?
What settings i have to make.
Do i have to set SQL Command timeout myCommand.CommandTimeout = 180;? Can This time affect my conncetion?

The architecture is dependent on the requirements the project should implement.
There is no one-fits-all architecture.
Therefore your answer can't be really answered.
Of course, you can look for some best-practices, but nothing specific:
- UI specific: ModelViewPresenter
- Design for testability: DesignPatternsForUnitTest
- and many more...
