" ASP.NET 1.1 Code Behind JacquesDP1-Oct-07 0:41 JacquesDP 1-Oct-07 0:41  Hi All, I am currently busy trying maintain some else's code, it is asp.net1.1 within an asp site, they just pasted it a couple of subdirectories and there is issues regarding multiple web.config files in subdirectories and in the root etc. I don't have any asp.net1.1 experience, only 2.0, and 1.1 compiled everything into a dll as far as I know but I want to see the code behind and the only page that I can view is the aspx, I can't locate the aspx.cs file. Also I can't find the dll, how does this work and where should I start looking for the code behind files. The guy who did these left the company before I joined so I can't find out from him. One has to hope there's source control somewhere that includes the full files, or they are on his PC, because if you're looking at where the site was deployed, they will not be there. It's not going to pull it from thin air. Worst case, you can decompile the dll. Otherwise, the "code-behind" will be inline - ie in the aspx file itself within <script runat="server">... </script> tags. There should be another property there, typically: inherits="dllname.pagename" and that should tell you the name of th DLL where the code is compiled to...and that should be in the bin/ folder...
