You don't want to do that. You want to make the gridview owner drawn and then draw the lines directly onto the control. Otherwise, none of your control will be interactive, you'll just be showing a bitmap.

Hi Christian,
Thanks for the reply, first. What I want is to draw lines between some of images which are already in the GridView control. No matter it is in bitmap format. I only want to make it visible and then print the image. Actually, there will be a button to generate this image on fly.
Hope you got me. Any links will be appreciated.
Thanks !

Hi friends,
can you please tell me whether there is any control/tool available for asp.net where whatever i will write/paste that will be stored in data base in the same format.Suppose i am pasting one table inside that then i should be able to get the table exactly same.The tool will be very much similar to the editor we use in this site for posting questions and answers.

You can hook up controls to automatically do that, but no-one does that if they are writing real software. They have a proper data layer which they call with those values.

EXE file of ASP.NET application ?
ASP.NET application won't make any EXE file. Do you mean invoking another EXE file ?

ASp.NET runs on the client machine, so your exe won't be there, and in any case, a web page can't launch other programs, that would be a security nightmare.

Datatgrid/Label will render the contents as plain HTML. When you type on textbox, it will have newline characters (\n). This won't be rendered correctly. That is making problem. So you need to replace \n with <br> to show the details correctly.

Can you post the code?
Just the part where you are assigning the dataset to the datasource and binding it.

I am trying to retrieve the time from TableB into TableA. All it does is post the current date in the format...9/30/2007 0:00:00
What I am looking for is the time value in TableB.
Here is my code..
<pre
scmd.commandtype =="" commandtype.storedprocedure
="" scmd.parameters.add("@scheduleddate",="" sqldbtype.datetime).value="CDate
(startDateTextBox.Text)
" scmd.parameters.add("@starttime",="" "long="" time")=""
'tried="" convert.todatetime(startdatetextbox.text)...didn't="" work...
pre="">
I have made sure the datatypes in the SQL Server database matches in both the Tables.
Let me know why this is failing.
Thanks,
Gym

What is the value of startDateTextBox? Does it contain a full date and time?
You might be better off storing the entire thing as a single column that holds both the start date and time or storing just the start date and the time as an offset from midnight.
What was the error you got when you tried the Convert.ToDateTime call?

I finally got the textbox to work but when I use the same value to populate a dropdown list, it does not work. Actually, it works the first time around and after that there is apparently a postback issue. Because the page does not refresh itself and I am not able to figure out how to get that to happen. Also, there is no error message as such.
In a different context, an error message in the form of a warning appears indicating an "Object instance not used" in line 290. What I don't understand to begin with, is the place to find 290 lines of code!! I couldn't find it even among the designer-gen code.

Gridview not showing first set of data from my query. e.g if my date range is
01/09/2007 to 30/09/2007, the gridview will display data from 02/09/2007 to 30/09/2007
if the range selected is 02/09/2007 to 30/09/2007 it displays data from 03/09/2007 to 30/09/2007
see my query expression
------------------------
Dim strCmd As String = "Select * From vwPOVendor "
strCmd += " Where PODate Between '" & Format(Date1, "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss") & "' AND '" & Format(Date2, "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss") & "'"

Unless that IP address is on the public internet and/or the appropriate rules are setup in any firewalls that might be running at your end you won't be able to do this.

A couple of questions:
- Do you have IIS configured to listen on that IP address?
- If you type in http://localhost, does it bring up your website?
- Do you have any type of firewall running? (Software, hardware, or both)
- Does your network provider support a configuration like this?

Thanks scott.
I have configured everything. (IIS has been configured)
I can run my website on local host. ( ip address i assigned )
Im using windows xp which has firewall (configured)
Network provider : support ok
thanks
