Hello,
I want to use containers that are feature rich and have corresponding iterators that can modify the object on the fly. Also, I would like to have at my disposal a set of common algorithms that I can use with the containers/iterators. I was wondering if there is anything like that out there besides the .NET Framework Collections that I can use. Can anyone recommend any library that is available?

Is this a troll ? You're describing the STL, and it's not available in C#.

You are right that something like STL is not available in the .NET Framework, and that is why I posted a simple question here to find an alternative. I need something to do dynamic data processing, and the Collections API does not cut it.

As a collection, I can get by with ArrayList, but I also need to utilize varies algorithms dynamically to operate on the values in the ArrayList. Is there a way to do this with .NET besides writing my own, or is there a library available that I can use?

I believe you CAN specify sorting algorithms for ArrayList ( what a dumb name - is it an array, or a list ? ), but beyond that, you're on your own.

If the object you stored in Array implements the IComparable interface, you can use Array.Sort to sort the elements by your own algorithms.

How do I convert a byte to it's numeral ASCII value?

Byte[] byteIn = Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes(input);
int i = 0;
while(i < byteIn.Length)

Console.WriteLine(byteIn[i]);
i++;
}
</pre>
That will take the input and print the ascii values (in numeral form) to the console, I want to convert the byte value to a int so I can export it in a certain way.

Simply cast it to an integer.
for example:
// A Byte
Byte b = 128;
// Change the byte into an int
int value = (int)b;
if (value==128) Console.WriteLine("Yay!");

(sorry, but I've had this posted on the IDE forum for a week now, and no luck!)
I created a deployment project and have a shortcut to the EXE to which I specified arguments in the shortcut properties. They don't appear in the shortcut when I install the project. In fact, the shortcut is of some wierd type, and I can't even edit it!
What's going on?
Sorry for posting this here, but I really need this to work!
Where should I post questions for deployment projects anyways?

I understand the issue I think...
What you need to do is in the deployment application assign a application as a file to the main folder. (granted it will be there anyways) but by you applying this builded executable it will create a assembly reference. Then from the assembly reference you right click and create shortcut to the application.
Now the shortcut files you create place them in the designated folders.
After the install or deployment is complete, the shortcuts will work. However you will not be able to edit them in any way. But at least they will work.
