Hi,
I have a textbox,
in which i want to display user's date of birth.
For user's convienience i want to display mm/dd/yyyy in that textbox.
when the focus reaches the textbox that mm/dd/yyyy shud b erased and user will type hi/her date of birth how to do this

Don't directly ask code have you tried by searching on the web or by putting some efforts to do it ...
Any way for textbox give the default text as dd/mm/yy now
when user clicks the textbox call the javascript function function means on Focus event
Now check get textbox value and check the value if it is of type dd/mm/yy clear the value
First try this if you got any problem then reply to this post

Hi, i have given code in my web.config file like this
function watermarkBirthDate()

var value=document.getElementsByName("txtBirtDate");

txtBirthDate="";
setfocus(txtBirthDate);
}
}
but its not working

and call this function onfocus of txtBirtDate

Have you tried to give Mask="mm/dd/yyyy"?
try it But I am not sure about it.

The reason it's so expensive, is that it's a whole lot of work to write something like this. There's no level on which you could pay someone what they charge, to write half of this, that's the reason it makes sense to buy components.

Thanks for the suggestion but I dont want the complete functionality what they have done and also I cant purchase that component, I just need to implement Girdview control having parent child relation ,show in the form of TreeView. If u can help me then I would be very very thankful to u.

There are other components out there, some of them free. Have you done a search on the web ? obout are, from memory, the people I've seen with one.

I'm using MS Excel sheets in my Application, for this purpose MS Excel should be installed at the server. Now I wana use Execl App in my project but without installing the Excel at my machine (server). how can I do this?

You really can't, unless you fancy writing your own code that understands the full excel file format.
