Hi Ahmed,
aspx has really something to do with html. If you take a closer look at an aspx file, you will see the regular <head> <body> etc... tag.
So, to include a javascript file and use functions therein, follow the example below:
(1) Say we have a file called scripts.js containing a function "test()" that we want to use.
(2) Place the tag "script language="javascript" src="scripts.js"></script>" tag between the "<head>" and "</head>" tag
(3) Next say i have a texbox and i want to execute function "test()" on leaving the textbox

i have given form authentication for my Member page, i kept my Member page in Secure folder.

This error message generally comes up when Applications’ exe is already running and then user try to rebuild the project. Please check if there is already an exe running from following location:

Hi,
I am trying to read a string from a specific resource file embedded in a satellite assembly using the resource manager. This works fine (see http://www.codeproject.com/script/comments/forums.asp?msg=2232299&forumid=12076#xx2232299xx ).
I managed to use the ResourManager to read a required string in the usual way : ResourceManager.GetString("key"). However, i am looking for a way of reading all keys and values within a particular resource file at one go (e.g I want to read all the 100 entries in a resource file into a list without having to pass the "key" each time).
Can you please help me on this.

HI All,
Iam calling a web services method using javascript ajax.
If I make the web method at my own system then it work fine .
But if I host the web services into another system,then iam not able to get web method name .
In this iam using Script Manager which take the Service path,I passed the Complete path of Web services but iam not able to get method name in JavaScript(Saying undefined method Name).

However, ASP.NET is the newer and easier to use version of ASP (to some extent) and it gives the possibility of building web pages using any of your favourite languages found in Visual Studio.NET framework (usually people use C#, VB.NET or J# to code their ASP.NET pages).

I have a datagrid in my page which has 5 columns.
While first column being a template column with item template a checkbox and followed by 3 bound column.
The last column is a EditCommand column.
The problem which i face is when the Edit is clicked in EditCommand column the bound column are getting changed to editable mode in a textbox. But i couldnt access the text entered by the user in these editable columns which has to bo updated.
i tried typecasting the controls[0] property of the item to textbox and access it but the text value is empty.
Similar is the case for checkbox.
Kindly help me out.

Make the column as readonly..

Making the column readonly will only restrict user from editing the column. ofcourse i have made the columns which i dont want the user to edit as read only.
But the column which should be edited by the user cannot be set as readonly. i need to know how to access the data entered by the user in the editable column.

yes i tried this and also the other i.e in OnEditCommand event
TextBox txtTemp = (TextBox)e.item.Cells[2].Controls[0];
and then used the Text property of txtTemp.
But i am getting the value as empty even after the user has entered some text.
Are you getting me??

Hi
Im using Fusion Charts.
My problem is that i have a page that generates a chart BUT the page itself does not seem to be able to store the value of a variable. Cos I want to print out the objects values in a panel next to the chart.
It looks like the Fusion Chart uses Javascript, i dont know if this is the problem here.
What i think could solve my problem was if i could create a page within a page. So ie. my panel could be in one page and the chart in another.Kind of like Outlook. If this will help, will someone please help me out with how to go about doing this??

2. Local search (5 Textboxes)
I gave the DB and Local search textboxes RequiredFieldValidators for validation
When i click Local search button DB serach validation working
