Hey there,
i would like to code a WebChart with Office Web Components 2003 in Visual Studio 2005 on a ASP.Net Site with C#.
To get my data, i'm using a SQL Server 2005 from which i get my values. That's not a problem.. The trouble is, how to start with a WebChart? Could anybody give me an example how to write one?
I searched the web for nearly 2 days, but on every site i found another example, which is completely different from the other one before...
But i found out, that i'll have to install the setup "OWC11.exe" from Microsoft. After this, i got a new reference in Visual Studio 2005. Now it is possible to choose a COM reference named "Microsoft Office Web Components 11.0". And until then i can use the namespace "using Microsoft.Office.Interop.Owc11;".  Further i have 5 .dlls, called "Interop.mce.dll", "Interop.VBRUN.dll", "Microsoft.StdFormat.dll", "MSDATASRC.dll" and "stdole.dll" in my project Bin folder. Is it correct?
And how i'll have to go on?

I have a grid view and I have an Item Template which contains a button which when clicked directs to another page. I want to be able to pass the value in the first field of the row in the GridView which i am clicking the button.
In asp.net 1.0 I was able to do the following:
Sub View(ByVal objSender As Object, ByVal objArgs As DataGridCommandEventArgs)
If objArgs.CommandSource.CommandName = "Update" Then
Response.Redirect("NewPage.aspx?OrderNum=" & objArgs.Item.Cells(1).Text)

End Sub
I could then get the value of Cell(1) in the New Page. This does not work in asp.net 2.0.
Does anyone have any idea how to do this in .net 2.0

U will have to use datakeys for this as in 2005 u will not get the value of hidden column...

Instead of using response.redirect we can use return url method....but i dint know abt return url....so i cant give enough info abt it...

padding is on the inside whereas margin is on the outside of a box:
padding: distance between content and border of container.
margin: distance of an object to its neighbours.

When i am Binding a gridView to a List<myclass> the column orders in the gridView comes in Alphabetical order... But I want the column orders as I have Added to the List<myclass>.....
How can I do this......

Hi,
Is there any free msi file creator utility for asp.net web applications available, could you provide information on such tools?
I tried using VS.NET deployment project, but its confusing when adding dlls. Our application fetches dlls from a directory, which is placed with the aspx files. While adding these to the deployment project, it gives lots of dependency errors and most of the dlls are duplicated, while building. And it takes around 30 minutes for the build to finish.

Hi All,
Can any one tell me what is the problem here? I am using ASP.NET 2005 and on menu click event I need to open page which is nothing but a div tab and it contains few combo and a textbox with ok and cancel button.
Everything works fine but I need a proper GUI as it contains Country, Select Sector, select sub industry and select company this should all come in proper way as show below:

Select Sector combo
Select Sub Industry combo
Select Company combo
textbox
But it shows something like this:

I want left column in one line is Select Sector should in one line.

For the left column (first one) give the width in percentage not in pixals and try to give in every row first column then check i think thats the problem

Are you writing any javscript to hide and show that div tag
the div tag's style should be like this
(when you are showing)
style="Display:'';visibility:visible;"
(when you are hiding)
style="Display:none;visibility:hidden;"

Since its a PopupControlExtender I just need to pass the id of div tag and it works fine. I am just writing javascript on cancel button and the code is below:
function myfunct()
{
document.getElementById('p1').style.display='none';
return false;
}
What might be the problem I dont know???

Problem is div tag is not properly formated
try this one because i had same faced issue in past
your div tag style should look like this
visibility:hidden;display:none (hidden)
visibility:visible;display:''(Show)
javscript to hide
var divTag=document.getElementById(divId);
divTag.style.display="none";
divTag.style.visibility="hidden";
javascript to show
var divTag=document.getElementById(divId);
divTag.style.display="";
divTag.style.visibility="visible";
