Hi there,
I'm currently using a COM object (C++) in a C# development. I need to use a method from this COM object which returns a LPSAFEARRAY. When I use this method, Visual Studio identifies it as a System.Array but in runtime the program returns a SafeArrayTypeMismatchException. Any clue on what is happening?

The LPSAFEARRAY contains VARIANT type of data, any idea about how can I access them?

I am saving data in a text file, how can I delete specific line and how can I make the software remember which lines goes with each data saved?
and also after I delete the lines I want them the gaps to dissappear, since empty lines takes bytes too. How can I do that?

Read the file and create an array each containing a line. Delete the items out the array and write the file back out again.

In the current context there is not enough information to give a valid answer that is anything more than idle speculation.
You are asking for some data to be match up with lines in a file. What data are you talking about?

When writing the file out, don't write out empty lines.

You could read in the data and write out to a temp file at the same time. Then once your done, delete the original file and rename the temp file.

The file system doesn't know about lines, it does not support just removing an arbitrary amount of data in the middle. So, the file system requires that whatever you do, you write a new file to do it.

I would say .ReadLine() and a HashTable should work hand-in-hand and flushing the unique lines onto a fresh file after duplicate-cleanup work is complete.

Also, please don't post the same question twice in the forum.
I don't think there is an easy way of converting MATLAB code to C#, other than translating it yourself.
I did find this link[^] to a CodeProject article that explains how to set up an interface between MATLAB and C#.

i would make a research in a time, but it was a bit diffulct to me whne i was new in programming. i have not made any research till that time. but it is good to learn. maybe answer comes from here. and i couldnt have found enoug resources just tried to use local help of matlab. maybe you should try you can do it

the answer is no. Matlab is a C++ library, AFAIK.

Handle the KeyPress event raised by the TextBox control and check which key has been pressed. Cancel the key press if the user has made an invalid selection.
