If you want to embed a picture into a winforms application you can use resources or insert the picture as an embedded resource. It will make your executable larger but you will be sure that you application will always find necessary picture

Hi,
is there a description (or sample code) how to start in a form frmA a second form frmB in a thread and get access in frmA to the variables in the thread of frmB?

thanks! It works.
But unfortunatly it solves not my problem: If I debug the frmA, the timer in frmB stops also. Is there a way to exclude frmB from debugging?
Or have I to use a separate application frmB and use interprocess data exchange to get the data from frmB. (frmB collects temperatures, and frmA reads them from frmB)

Hmmm, interesting task!

What kind of timer are you using?
Maybe take a look at System.Threading or System.Timers. Timer!

But I have to admit that this is without knowing something about debug behaviour!
Maybe you should start a new thread with this specific question.
I'm sure the MVP cracks or for example Luc (but also others), know more about this topic.

But you should really, try the approach with an other timer, which is not running in the GUI thread (Forms.Timer does run in GUI thread)

I am creating pdf file from my application software. I know the syntax for using Fonts in pdf. But my problem is, there are some keywords like "/FirstChar, /LastChar, /Widths, /FontDescriptor, /Encoding" how can findout these details from a font file(insttalled in my computer)/from my computer?

If i leave textbox i.e focus i have do some functionality that do necessary things in some other controls.

For Ex:if i leave focus on text box i have to get some text on another text box.
For this iam writing in textchanged event?iam not getting.

i think we have to write code in leavefocus ?

I have some old com class that return to me VARIANT as string or as int.

How can i use it in C#? what i mean is how can i know if the type is int or String ?

I know that i can do it like this

_Variant.GetType().FullName.CompareTo( "System.String" )

But is there is some other/effective way to do it ?

I am using Visual Studio 2003. I have to create an object of PrintDocument Class(in C#) at RunTime. But I'm not able to add.

Here you can design just the form like the find window.....
Here you can also use the InputBox if you does not want to give extra facilities like Search Up, Down, Search Case Sansitive etc...

If you don't like the appearance of default InputBox, you may create small form that can acks like Find dialog..
