its an sql fuction , you can use in query. you can test as
select datepart(dd,getdate())
hope this will clear your doubt.

if ur field in the table is of type date..
just do order by with that field
it will order by datewise...
by the way DATEPART function works like
DATEPART(month, GETDATE())
it will give u current month in numeric (7)

thanks , i am facing one more problem regarding the two dimensioal array.
to implement this i am using the following code.

Hi, I need to create a folder on the server and upload the file to that new folder. The foldername is given by the user.
The problem is that it creates the foler, but don't upload the file and gives an exception. Here is the code:

dont do
pdfUpload.SaveAs(MapPath(filePath))
directly give pdfUpload.SaveAs(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath + "\\" + pdfUpload.FileName);
try using this..

Long time since I posted here...
I created a typed dataset using the wizard by adding a Dataset to the project.
I have a very variable menu(for a web page) structure that is stored in a database(SQL2K5X).
I need to be able to have the menu items stored as an xml file that the menu control will read from and I don't know how to do that. I tried several things but... I'm here 
So how do I dynamically manage my menu from a database?

I hosted one page and also bin directory,web.config and precompiledapp.config while deploying will get these files.i just add only two controls in that page one HTML Text box and one Asp Label Control but when i open that page i could see only the Html Text box, Label is not shown in that page.But when i check the source of this page i could see the Label and its Text.what is the problem is there anything should i host.

i have three asp.net applications in different domains say www.domain1.com and www.domain2.com and www.domain3.aspx.
Two pages are there in each applications .First LogIn.aspx and other MyPage.aspx. In mypage of www.domain1.com, i have a link to mypage.aspx of www.domain2.aspx and www.domain3.aspx. now my requiremets are:
1> when user login in www.domain1.aspx, and clicks any link on MyPage.aspx, say he clicks www.domain2.aspx, then he shud be redirected to Mypage.aspx of www.domain2.aspx. it shud not show him its login page .same for www.domain3.aspx.i have to use forms authentication.
Its basicly a single sign on.
The problem i am facing excatly is that, i acieved this using same machinekey,validationkey for all in web.config like

But i need that the validation keys should be different for different applicatons in there web.config ,and when i click the links from www.domain1.aspx then anyways i save it in the formauthetication cookie and also i want to add some more information in formauthentication cookie.
Please help me in this. Its urgent.Any other way to get this functionality achieved ia also welcome

If you don't know the SMTP server, you can't send mail, simple as that. Check your mail program to find out what your smtp server is.

How i can set the dropdownlist without using Selectindex property. Because in my repeater control (where i am displaying dropdownlist data) , i don't have assoicated listindex values, i just have dropdown list text.
I tried to use
((DropDownList)(FormView1.FindControl("CmbCountry"))).Text= "USA"; and i got erroe as below
has a SelectedValue which is invalid because it does not exist in the list of items.
Please help...

OK, so you're on the right track, but the text you tried to set does not appear in the list. Therefore, if you use a string that does appear in the list, this is the right way to set the value by text instead of index. Isn't there also a findindex method ? Or you can iterate over the Items collection to find the one you want, to ensure it is there.
