If i ignore the sub subsequence, then it all works fine, but i'm trying to build a functional prototype, so i'd like paging to be in it. If i set the XmlDataSource object to have the following source XPath, it works: data/records/record[id='1']/notes/note However, if i set the source XPath to this it doesn't return anything: subsequence(data/records/record[id='1']/notes/note, 1, 10) Can anyone help me? When I open the ASP.NET Web Configuration tool in Visual Studio 2005 I click the Provider tab, then I click on the Select a different provider for each feature (advanced) link. Then it takes me to a page which lists my custom membership provider. Normally if you take the default membership provider there is a Test link next to the membership provider. Why is there no Test link next to my custom membership provider?? For datalist you need to implement the custom paging. You can follow it with a response.end which will send the page to the browser without doing the rest. I want that whenever I click on next page it shouldn't call the database again and again. Data fetching should be done at once. Can anybody tell me how to do this so that I can increase the performance of my database. There are 20,000 records I am getting from this query.
